Delete as useless non-free screenshot. (WP:NFCC#1 problem.) It is a screenshot of the entire screen, with rounded corner and mirror effect added, downsized to such a ridiculous size that almost nothing on it can be seen. The subject of the screenshot, however, is the tiny blue and gray window in the middle. Words alone are enough to describe it. Codename Lisa (talk) 09:03, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If it is a 1924 film, the license applied is incorrect as being "released before 1923". Unclear what license would apply. Deadstar (talk) 09:54, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File is licensed as "own work" under a Creative Commons license, but this seems more like a non-free logo whose copyright would be held by the Marshall Island Football Association if there is such an organization. All I could find online was this, this and this. At the very least, I think OTRS verifiction is needed or this should be treated as non-free content. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:58, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: keep in SAIPA, remove all other instances. — ξxplicit 13:45, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:SAIPA Corporation logo.svg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by P30Carl (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

File is listed as non-free. It has a non-free use rationale for SAIPA and that appears to be OK per WP:NFCC. It was also being used in Saipa F.C. and Saipa Karaj VC and the template markup does give "For use on the 'Saipa F.C.', 'Saipa Karaj VC' and 'SAIPA' articles" for the |Purpose= parameter, but that does not satisfy WP:NFCC#10c so I removed it from those articles per WP:NFCCE. Is this is simple enough for {{PD-logo}}? If it is, it could be used in the other two articles because NFCC would no longer be applicable. If, however, it needs to be non-free, I don't think the usage in the other two articles should be allowed per No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI. -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:19, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It says "The author gives permission for non-commercial usage" which suggests that this only can be used for non-commercial purposes. Stefan2 (talk) 22:37, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • This edit is the contradictory one. A PD-self tag was applied by the author (= uploader), so I would consider that that offers permissions in addition to the author's textual grant of non-commercial rights. — This, that and the other (talk) 11:08, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • I seem to understand that when there are textual statements and licensing templates which contradict each other, it's the textual statement which counts. In this case, it would mean that the {{PD-self}} licence only applies insofar as the use is non-commercial. --Stefan2 (talk) 23:10, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
