THis species is not extinct, it is still grown in Kisangani at least (see this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfX8taUsoEA video). Images fails NFCC#1 Peripitus (Talk) 12:04, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please reread the rationale. Not extinct. Very very rare ("virtually extinct"). Even the video makes that explicitly clear (read the youtube video title and description). There are very few pictures of the cultivar available today, and none of them are free. NFCC#1 is no free equivalents. -- OBSIDIANSOUL 02:49, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not rare enough to resist a Flickr re-license request: File:Gros Michel bananas (4337785985).jpg. With a free use equivalent secured, I believe we can delete the unfree file. Let me know if there's anything wrong with the new image? – czar 23:03, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree as well. I have no more objections to deletion.-- OBSIDIANSOUL 23:08, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not only was the article reading out of date, the name of the suburb was pronounced completely wrong. On the recording they pronounced Whetstone as "way stone" whereas it should be pronounced as "wet stone" Simply south ...... time, deparment skies for just 9 years 16:55, 2 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
