Fails WP:NFCC#8 if this is non-free, person pictured is not the subject of the article it is used in. Possibly PD due to age but more information would be needed on origin/date of image. January (talk) 08:44, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This image violates WP:NFCC#3 because a better image, File:Bing Mobile.jpg, is already in the article. Codename Lisa (talk) 11:52, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Might it be preferable to replace this with a new PNG screenshot? The old JPEG is not an ideal format, and has minor artefacts. I can take one myself if required. User:GKFXtalk 15:36, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. This discussion does not concern FFD but generally, there is no rule against JPEG. If it is optimum, we use it. And in this case, it is optimum. JPEG compresses this certain image better. The reason is the photographic nature of this image, which is JPEG's area of specialty. Best regards, Codename Lisa (talk) 09:17, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The image as a whole is not a photo; it is a screenshot. Look closely at the the text "search" and the artefacts around it. They are fairly bad, in my opinion, as are the artefacts around the circle icons at the bottom. This is related to this FFD process, because it is a discussion of a possible outcome for the pair of files. User:GKFXtalk 12:02, 3 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File:Reduced Fare MetroCard face.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Billinghurst (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Deleted at Commons per c: Commons:File:Reduced Fare MetroCard face.jpg , copied here for possible fair use but has no rationale and would probably fail WP:NFCC#3 since there is already a non-free image of the Metrocard being used for visual identification.
