Not sure what these "youth protection laws" are which you invoke, but they don't apply in the United States, where Wikipedia is based; Wikipedia is not censored. Read Child Protection Registry Acts. The laws are enacted in, and apply only to, children in the states of Utah and Michigan whose addresses (email or postal address, phone number, social network ID, etc.) have been entered into special registries. More importantly, from the language in our article anyway, they prevent one from "sending a message" that "contains or advertises material that is harmful to minors" to any such registered address. Serving an image which would have to be found to be "harmful to minors" from a server in Florida to a user that specifically requested it, which user the server has no way of linking to an address in the registry, seems a long way from being unlawful. Crop out the offensive part. I understand that Wikipedia is not censored, but Wikipedia:Offensive material says, "Material that would be considered vulgar or obscene by typical Wikipedia readers should be used if and only if its omission would cause the article to be less informative, relevant, or accurate, and no equally suitable alternative is available." It seems to me that cropping the image to keep only the text would serve the same encyclopedic purpose and would not reduce the degree to which the image is informative, relevant, or accurate. Besides, it isn't clear that the offensive part here is actually part of the logo for the Web site—isn't the logo just the textual part? Perhaps the site used a single image for both its logo and this photograph, but that's just a technical decision on the part of the Web designer. —Bkell (talk) 11:58, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how reading the logo article is supposed to indicate to me how much of this particular image constitutes the logo of the site, and I don't particularly want to visit Bestgore.com to see how the logo is used there. Is the logotype portion of the image consistently used on Bestgore.com with the photo attached? Or is this image a composite, consisting of the logotype and the photo, that is used as the banner at the top of the page? Delete or crop/clean: I feel the image portion of the logo is unnecessarily vulgar for the purposes of Wikipedia, and removing the logo (or substituting one provided without the vulgar image) would not detract from the overall accuracy of the article – it's descriptive enough to give the reader a pretty good idea of what the site is about. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 18:58, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
