Completely unnecessary in the article, and probably replaceable, so in violation of NFCC. :Jay8g Hi!- I am... -What I do... WASH- BRIDGE- WPWA - MFIC 02:12, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute that since this person only passed away a month ago an exhaustive search could have been made to see if this image was indeed not replaceable by an existing image released with a CC-BY-SA compatible licence. LGA talk to me 02:52, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This picture doesn't show the entire painting. There is a better version (IMO) already on Commons[1]. Bjelleklang - talk 11:43, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: kept. The image seems to be the subject of sourced commentary. --B (talk) 14:22, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Violation of WP:NFCC#3a and WP:NFCC#8. Stefan2 (talk) 18:31, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep The image is mentioned on a particular section of the article and is backed by a source, it's not just there for "decorative purposes" like I said, it's mentioned on the article and backed up by a source, it passes WP:NFCC#3 and it also meets WP:NFCC#8--Cooljules73 (talk) 19:03, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- The image is nowhere near any section containing discussion about the image, so the purpose is obviously not to assist the understanding of such a section. --Stefan2 (talk) 19:23, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes it its, read the Artwork section of the article and you'll see the 2nd Christopher Ciccone cover is mentioned there and therefore it's relevant to the article--Cooljules73 (talk) 19:29, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- As I wrote, the image is nowhere near that section (it is placed at the top of the article), so the purpose of the image is obviously not to illustrate that section. --Stefan2 (talk) 19:40, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Well of course we can't put an alternative coverart next to that section as it would look bad. The image's purpose is to illustrate another variant of the single's artwork that is mentioned and described on another section of the article.--Cooljules73 (talk) 19:46, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I've moved it down there anyway in the spirit of WP:SOFIXIT. Are there still objections? Mangoe (talk) 19:52, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I do have an objection. I won't move it from where you put it, but I feel the 2nd cover should be up there on the info box as that's where all the single and cds cover arts are. I think perhaps we should get another User's opinion on the whole situation.--Cooljules73 (talk) 20:08, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Second cover arts, which pass NFCC, are kept as alternative cover arts as per the usual norm. There's no reason to just simply deviate from the norm just for this article. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 03:18, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep image passes WP:NFCC#8. Image is mentioned on the article--LuxiromChick (talk) 23:52, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep – Normally I don't like fans uploading these second covers and FFD them, however, in this case there seems a section devoted to the second cover art, how it was interpreted and how it came along. Pretty much solidifies its NFCC#8 and 3a and can be kept. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 03:18, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep – the second cover is relevant and is mentioned in the article. The only criteria for a second image is that it is mentioned in the article (this image is and has a back story e.g. the fallen P on the imagery), is different to the other imagery (which it is) and is referenced (another plus). This artwork is important to the article. Keep please. jwad.... blah | blah | blah 20:02, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
