- Unused photo of some lights in a city at night. Even if I knew what city this was, it wouldn't be a useful photo because I can't see anything in it. —Bkell (talk) 07:05, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Can find no evidence that images of the Ministry of National Defense of Romania are in the public domain - and the image has no precise link to check whether it is from the ministry. Uploader hasn't responded to follow up for two weeks. Hekerui (talk) 09:24, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Source: http://www.mapn.ro/fotodb/20071018_2/Transportor_amfibiu_blindat_Zimbru . The picture was taken during the public trials of that vehicle. Someone needs to find out if pictures from the Romanian MOD can be considered press releases (and, as a result, public domain). I've mailed mapn.ro to ask for a permission to use the photos from the gallery, but the answer was that pictures could be used only on wikipedia, only if the image of the Army is not touched and only for subjects depicting the RoArmy. As a result, I couldn't obtain an OTRS number because of these conditions. Mircea87 (talk) 11:00, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. Fair use rationales are not in order, and as this is a non-free image, I must delete it for that. SchuminWeb (Talk) 16:14, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- File:1956 Hungarian Stalin head3.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Mosedschurte (notify | contribs | uploads).
- Unnecessary decorative non-free picture of the head of a statue. Conveys no relevant information by itself. Damiens.rf 16:59, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Not decorative; does impart a feeling of the state of Hungary–Russia relations at that time. Sandstein 23:40, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - the main Hungarian Revolution of 1956 article already has a different photograph of the same destroyed statue. In Hungary-Russia relations there is zero analytical commentary, neither of the image in itself, nor even just of the specific event (i.e. the destruction of the statue, rather than just the revolution as a whole). It may be highly symbolic, no doubt, but imparting "a feeling" is beside the point here: what it needs to impart is not feelings, but information, in much more concrete terms, and that's only possible in connection with concrete discussion in text. (Incidentally, the embedding of the image in that article has been apparently so random and unmotivated that it was allowed to sit there with a vandalised, completely irrelevant caption for almost four months [1], without anybody noticing.) Fut.Perf. ☼ 10:17, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Historical significance. The Hungarian Revolution of 1956 (of which the destruction of the Stalin statue was a major symbol) is one of the most important events in the recent history of Hungary. The fact that there exist other images too, does not mean that this one is useless. Qorilla (talk) 20:18, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- But it means it's not minimal usage. --Damiens.rf 14:01, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
