Res2216firestar (talk · contribs) Mainly I just want to know if I'm doing a good job here, I'd like to know about any mistakes of mine, other than what's on my talk page. I would like to possibly be an admin someday, but I think I need more experience. res2216firestar 21:41, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

  • My first editor review so here goes. It looks like a large majority of your edits since you came back to wikipedia have been reverting vandalism. Which is a very necessary task and it looks like you are doing a good job at it. I did randomly check about 40 of your reverts and they all looked fine with the exception of this [1]. The statement should not been in the article but I would not classify it technically as vandalism, I would consider it an unsourced POV statement and in my opinion the editor should not have received a level 1 vandalism notice. The line between vandalism and an inexperienced good faith edit can be very fine and I always try to lean toward WP:AGF. All of the other revert edits I looked at were perfect. If you want to be an admin I would recommend spending some time at WP:XFD discussions, you have voted at a few but RfA reviewers will want a sense of your knowledge and interpretation of notability guidelines. For an easy way to know what's up for AfD, I would recommend checking out the deletion sorting page and add the topics that interest you to your watchlist and start getting involved in some more AfD discussions. Also, you will want to increase your main article edits as RfA reviews also like to see that admins have decent regular editing experience in addition to admin duties like vandalism. Perhaps getting involved in a project based on your interests would be a good idea. --Captain-tucker (talk) 19:03, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have encountered you while patroling recent changes: typically, you are “quicker to the punch” than I am; thus, either I get an edit conflict or, more typically, I don’t see my edit at all. It’s almost as if recent change patrol is a speed contest! Keep up the good work fighting the vandals. Bwrs (talk) 19:18, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
My edits to Warriors (novel series) are in my opinion my best, other than that, I am involved in vandalism fighting, and bringing the article on Spongebob Squarepants up to scratch.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Mainly conflicts to do with rumored details on Warriors (novel series), but I haven't stressed much about it.
