Vishwin60 (talk · contribs) I would like some more feedback how I am doing as a Wiki*edian overall. The concerns that were present in my last review have generally been taken care of, and I would like to get some feedback before I possibly go to RFA. Reviews

I read your previous editor reviews, and I think Aquarius in the third review summarized the issues nicely. He discouraged you against standing for RFA. Now, truth be told, the only thing you lose by trying an unsuccessful RFA is the half hour or so it takes to answer the questions. (By the way, you would need to write more thorough answers than you did here.) You can run again in a few months. However, it can also be a stressful experience to see that all your months of hard work have been ruined by one or two poor decisions, so nobody trusts you to do what's right. You need to be prepared for such responses if you want sysop access.

I didn't take the time to review your history, but you need to ask yourself one question. You wrote, "The concerns that were present in my last review have generally been taken care of." How will you convince other people of this? The best way to show that you have reformed from a mistaken path is to change to the opposite extreme, and to teach others not to make the same mistake.

I wish you good luck. YechielMan 09:07, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I personally do not have any contributions that I am particularly pleased with. Part of the reason why is that I am suffering from a mild case of metapedianism, and I tend to edit pages in the Wikipedia namespace pretty often.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
If I had not been in any conflicts, I wouldn't be at the stage that I am in right now. Before, I might have been a bit harsh and un-cool, but now, things have changed. In the future, I will deal with conflicts as civilly as possible, in regards to all of the policies, guidelines, and essays that I have been versed on. I will sometimes support the consensus, sometimes the spirit of the policy/guideline.
