Review by jonny-mt[edit]

So after looking through your edit history and your answers to the questions below, I have the following comments.

  • The overall quality of your edits is generally good and constructive, which is a pleasure to see. You are clearly dedicated to your work as an editor and are a positive force on Wikipedia.
  • You also seem to be quite active in your chosen projects, most notably WikiProject Professional wrestling, where you have taken on a fair bit of responsibility.
  • You have a good eye for recognizing vandalism, and I'm glad to see that you usually take the extra step to warn the vandal as well.
  • Your most recent edits confirm that you are indeed dedicated to improving your understanding of WP:C.

I also have the following suggestions for areas where you could use improvement.

  • Always use the 'Show Preview' button before saving your changes. Although it's not always feasible, your goal should be one edit per any given time you edit a page. Of the hundreds of edits you've made in the past week or so, I would say that close to half of them are small fixes or things that you would have otherwise caught if you had read through your changes before posting them. A look at the Vengeance: Night of Champions history shows several instances where you updated your own edits in rapid succession. You also mentioned a high level of edits on your user page and in your user space--this could be avoided in part by simply using the preview button. In addition to effectively flooding the history of articles, not using the preview function could be held against you as evidence that you don't necessarily look before you leap if you decide to go through RFA.
  • Your usage of edit summaries is good, but you could probably stand to be a bit more verbose. I see far too many summaries simply reading "fix" (although this is probably related to my point above).
  • If you haven't already, I suggest you install Twinkle to help make vandal fighting and warning a bit easier.
  • I would also like to see you branch out a bit outside of your chosen topics and contribute more to the Wikipedia community as a whole. Few things improve your understanding of Wikipedia policies and what is required of articles faster than participation in AfD.

That's it! Although there are some areas you could use improvement in, I think you're doing a good job overall. Good luck, and happy editing! --jonny-mt(t)(c) 02:01, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Well, I edit four subjects: professional wrestling, South Park, Family Guy and hip hop music. I've edited pro wrestling to a much more greater extent. There's not really any particular edits I've been proud of (although I am proud of my edits). I have tediously editing my own userpage a lot instead of on the mainspace (which is kinda embarrasing), but I'm done with the revamping now.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I've probably only been in conflict in my "early days". For example, I kept redirecting South Park DVDs to List of South Park episodes because I thought it was irrevelant to have a separate page with info about South Park DVDs. I didn't try to reach a consensus, so I got some heat for that. I've also some under a little heat recently over color coding some hip hop Navboxes without a consensus (I got a little discouraged because of that). So basically, I'm trying to do a better job of using consensus next time. Other than that, I don't have any beef with other users, nor am I not in any situations.
