TheGrimReaper NS (talk · contribs · count) I joined in September 2009 and began to edit articles of my interest, until I discovered vandal-fighting. I still contribute to such articles, but I also mass-revert edits which are in violation of policies. I'm planning to apply for adminship at WP:RFA so I can assist more with the perfection of Wikipedia (like blocking 4-warning vandals quickly and efficiently), but first I need to perfect my Wikipedia skills. Questions

1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?

   Like I said before, my main contributions consist of rewriting and wikification, and I also use Huggle to mass-revert vandalism and bring the vandals to justice (WP:AIV and warnings).

3. Have you been in any disputes over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

   I've only been in one instance of a violation of WP:3RR, which was in the Egyptian pyramids article (a vandal had teamed up with his friends to vandalise the article), but I was never warned or blocked (WP:IAR, I suspect). Occasionally vandals who I have encountered insult me, but I revert their comments (WP:NPA). Sometimes I even explain my actions to them.

Just a quick review from me here: Your reverting is helpful and beneficial to the project, so please do keep up your vandal fighting efforts! You have alot of user talk edits which show that you are giving out warnings and advice as required too, which is good. As you wish to apply at RfA, I have a few suggestions which could improve your chances. Firstly, whilst you do not have many edits yet to make such a judgement, you have a month in the middle with few edits, and the RfA crowd will probably be expecting regular activity. Additionally, be careful with some of your templates you apply to users, especially with test edits. In some cases it would be better to fix an edit that a user did which contributed content, yet broke some of the page syntax. At the very least, a different message from the one provided by the template may be better.

You may also wish to improve your chances at RfA by getting involved with other admin areas, such as Articles for Deletion, Redirects for Discussion and the like. Also, consider watching the admin noticeboard and incidents noticeboard to gain insight on the wide variety of situations which administrators may be required in.
