Comments

I would like to adress a couple of concerns that will come up before I start this. Userpage edits make up way too much of my total edits (1/8th the last time I checked). Note that since I only have 800 edits that my userpage edit results will be skewed because of my low total. I revert a lot of vandalism and patrol newpages, particpate in XfD's, and other stuff. I've tried to start working on articles more and have become a cleanup volunteer and a member of the Wikiproject: Good Articles, and would like to start helping there as soon as possible. I (in 12+ months), would possibly consider adminship, but that's way far off right now and I don't really think about it. I'm just doing what I do best.

Thanks, RkMnQ (talk) 20:48, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
My best contributions to Wikipedia would most likely be in the form of my anti-vandalism reverts, newpage patroling, and contributions to XfD. Article-wise: I can not give you a solid answer, as I really don't have any FA's, GA's, or DYK's. However, eventually I would like to get one someday. If I had to pick a single article I guess it would be Übel Blatt, which I'm not even close to done cleaning it up yet, but it's somewhat better, I guess Changing to Tabun (nerve agent) which I have significantly cleaned up and got to C-Class. Also, I like my contribs to Interstate 55 in Illinois. I brought it from a stub to C-class.
Being that this was a couple months ago, I thought I'd update it. I am especially proud of my work with the Chemical Warfare catagory, I'm always working there correcting grammar, putting in refs, and formatting. Within this area I am very proud of my edits to Tabun (nerve agent), which I believe is now at the low end of B-class. Although chemicals are my main area of contributions, I try to dabble in a bit of everything. My best contribution outside of chemicals would be to Interstate 55 in Illinois, which is now a C-class (up from stub). Besides article contributions I am proud of my anti-vandal, AfD, and CSD tagging. That's pretty much it. Cheers, RockManQ (talk) 03:22, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, this is getting messy, but I got some more of you, yes more! I am proud of my contributions to creating chemical warfare related articles, helping building Wikipedia's comprehensiveness of this subject. RockManQ (talk) 03:36, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, the amount of stuff I am putting on this page is getting ridiculous. My DYK, Methyldichloroarsine, is also one of my proudest article contribs. Also I do a lot of vandalism reverting, some CSD work, and I dab a little bit in AfD's as well (not as much anymore since I am an inclusionist. RockManQ (talk) 16:49, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I haven't really been in that many conflicts with other editors, yet. I'm sure as I am here longer I will be. However, I think a conflict with another user over the deletion of his article is a conflict. I was patroling newpages and I saw his article. Now I can't remember the exact reason I tagged it with a csd tag now, but it was deleted by a passing admin. The user came back to my talk page and wanted to know why I tagged his article. After a short discussion, everything was sorted out and we went back to editing Wikipedia, I think.
