Padillah (talk · contribs) In my effort to become an admin I was asked to submit to an editor review. Since then I've tried to start two articles (well, the second is still in the sandbox right now) and would like some critiques to help improve my editing. I acknowledge that I'm better at correcting others than I am at coming up with the content myself. Padillah (talk) 18:49, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I feel best about Peter Petrelli. There were several fans trying to get their version of what they believed in the article and there was a big push by myself and a few others that helped stem the flow of cruft.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Yes, the conflict with Dandelion over Sun tanning was getting pretty severe until the RfM resulted in his compliance. I was patrolling 3O and was about to take a request over the Sun Tanning article. Well, someone beat me to the 3O request but I continued contributing anyway (since I've been told I need to get my fingers more articles than just Heroes). My main thrust was that a picture of topless women needed context, it needed an explanation. After disagreeing with the editor it started becoming clear to the original requester that Mediation would be needed. Well, the RfM was agreed to by both parties and once that happened Dandelion came up with some very nice prose which I was happy to include in the article and the conflict resolved. In any conflict I stand by the WP policies, if it meets the policy than edit and be happy (whether I disagree or not).
