OllieFury (talk · contribs) I've been here about two months, and have about 2100 edits, of which roughly half are automated. I'd just like to know how I'm doing. Thanks. Ollie Fury Contribs 22:41, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Whilst I have not created any articles, I have made several templates (especially transport-related) which I feel make navigation around transport pages much easier. I also enjoy welcoming and helping new users, not just by adding a template to their talk page but also by answering any questions they have or helping them with basic wiki stuff; advice about conduct, internal links etc.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Thankfully I have never experienced any editing conflicts personally. If I do come across any sort of conflict in the future, I would aim to remain polite and calm and try and sort out the problem as smoothly as possible, for example I would write a personalised message rather than use a template so I could express my views more clearly.

Oh, my God! You've only been here for two months a and you already have over 2000 contributions! Amazing, what great productivity you are showing here! Never before I have seen someone that active. And your edits make sense, that to is amazing! Keep up the good work, Ollie Fury, you truly are a Fury ! J.B. (talk) 11:30, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've been here almost as long as you have and even longer under my IP adress (three years to be precise), and yet you have ten times as much edits as I have. I wonder - is this really the first time you are on wikipedia, or is it not? I mean, come on, you must be either a very fast learner or you have been here before... I mean it: when you look at your page, both talk and user, and you contribs on first sight, it seems to me you are already an admin with years of expierence and yet you haven't joined in until two months ago! Hard to believe for me it is. Jouke Bersma Contributions 12:45, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My user and talk pages were made with help from my adopter, The ed17, who also introduced me to Twinkle and later Huggle. I think therefore, using your criteria, I am a fast learner. Ollie Fury Contribs 17:51, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
