Kuyabribri (talk · contribs) I have been on Wikipedia for over 2 years and have over 4,000 edits. I'm considering whether adminship would be beneficial to me, but I don't want to be nominated at the present time. I would like to be reviewed and get some feedback as to my qualifications for adminship and possibly get steered in the right direction to make me a successful candidate if I ever do decide I want to be nominated. A significant number of my edits are reverts of vandalism and CSD/AfD related, but I try to also make substantive edits as well as little edits to fix grammar, etc. KuyaBriBriTalk 15:11, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

  • Hello. Wow, you're all over Wikipedia (upon seeing your contributions). Your script work is greatly appreciated, those vandals are pesky at times. You also seem to edit a lot of Wikipedia spaces, such as deletion sorting, and reporting usernames. These are great areas to work for to gain experience that is necessary for an admin. I recommend editing articles a bit more, not script work, but expanding them because this shows that you know what is expected of an article. I say at least one or two more GA's. I also recommend participating in other's WP:RFA's, because this shows that you know what to expect from an admin. Looking at your conflicts, you should continue to resolve them by discussing things, and getting other opinions, as this is way way better than edit warring.--Truco 15:33, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
As I said above, a significant amount of my edits are reversions of vandalism. As for content, most of my contributions have been to articles related to baseball and several of my favorite TV shows. The one I am most pleased with is The Double (Seattle Mariners), which was deleted at AfD (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Double (Mariners)), but I brought it back, fully referenced it, and addressed the concerns brought up in the AfD. It is a current GAN and I'm hopeful that it will pass GA soon. Other articles I'm proud of are 1995 American League West tie-breaker game and City of Anaheim v. Angels Baseball LP.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I have been involved in disputes at Kate Morgan (ANI archive), three articles related to Piedmont, California (ANI archive), and CADWELD (ANI). Each time I tried resolving the issue with the other users involved on the talk page; however, each time I believed the user was being unreasonable, so I had to take it to ANI. I will continue to handle disputes by trying to resolve with the user, but if that user is being unreasonable I will get admins involved, at ANI, AN, AIV, etc.
