Kungming2 (talk · contribs) I've been on Wikipedia for over a year now, and I'd like to get an idea of what areas I should improve in and work harder. I'd appreciate any feedback and comments about me. Thanks! =) –- kungming·2 (Talk) 22:55, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I like all that I see from you, Kungming2, and am sure that in a couple of months, you'll be 100% ready for adminship. The reason that I feel that a couple more months would be helpful is that, based on your edit history below, although you have been editing for a long time, your edit rate has dropped hugely in places. If you keep up a fiarly high rate, and continue doing your excellent work in anti-vandalism and XfD, I can easily forsee you becoming an admin pretty soon. As you've expressed to me on IRC, it may help to boost your article talk and wikipedia talk edit levels, as these show a willingness to participate in discussion. I hope this has been of some help (it's my first review!) -- Martinp23 18:32, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! –- kungming·2 (Talk) 01:29, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Zoot review - As per Martin, I like what I see. That might just be because I'm looking at my screensaver which has lemmings on it, but yes, in about 4 or so months, you should have no trouble becoming an administrator. You seem to be participating in Xfd's often, to my liking, & everything else seems in order too. You're civil & a good editor. Well that's about it really. I don't know you well enough to notice what you aren't doing, but I can see what you are, so keep it up... :) Spawn Man 00:46, 27 November 2006 (UTC) P.S. I'd suggest you find a niche, because your answer for question 1 below, "fighting vandals", wouldn't be a number one choice for best contributions. In other words, maybe you could start a little project, like writing a series of articles or something, to make you & everyone else, proud. Other than that however, your answers below seem very rehersed. I'd like to see some more truthful emotion & what you really think going into your answers, especially if I'm to support you on any RfAs that may arise in your future... :) Have a great week...[reply]
Yeah, I wrote the answer is the short space of three minutes, so I wasn't really thinking too much. Please rest assured that I will take a much longer time than that if this was an RfA. =) Thanks for the guidance! –- kungming·2 (Talk) 01:29, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I've helped with many anti-vandalism efforts, and also worked hard on reverting sneaky vandalism - vandalism which is not apparent at a single glance, and often involves minor changes of facts that may compromise the integrity of the entire article. I also work on cleanup efforts when I can, and help correct sentence, grammar, and problematic paragraphs in otherwise good articles. I also help out with Buddhism-related articles, and finding sources for articles.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I keep a cool head on Wikipedia, especially when reverting vandalism. My userpage has been vandalized over 30 times, and I have also received numerous complaints from vandals on why their vandalism was reverted. I remain calm when replying, even if other users insult me. If I make mistakes, I apologize and thank the user for helping me improve. As for editing conflicts, I adhere to a 2RR rule - and I will take the discussion to the talk page first before making any changes to the article in question.
