• Glad to see someone doing something more productive than golf with their retirement. :) I feel that admin coaching would be good for someone like you in a few more months, which is good that you've signed up now. You have contributed a lot of edits in a short amount of time, but that's not hard using somed program to revert vandalism—not that that's not important, but (in my humble non-admin opinion) RFA will be looking for more than that. You are participating a lot in admin areas, so that will bode very well. What I would suggest is to really try to push some articles through the GAN and FAC process. For example, the article you've contributed to most (2008 South Ossetia war) is only B class and List of Permanent Representatives to the UN is not even rated. By the way, if you are creating a ton of new article from the redlinks on List of Permanent Representatives to the UN, you should be getting WP:DYK credit out of them to show RFA that you create quality content. You will also learn a lot by being a reviewer yourself (perhaps start at WP:GAN). Anyway, I think you're off to a great start and we're glad to have editors like you. 1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?

   I have been working on creating articles for the redlinked Representatives at List of Permanent Representatives to the UN. I hope to add as many as I can and to continue to update this as new Representatives are appointed in place of existing ones. I feel it is important in the expansion of our United Nations related articles and International Relations articles. Keeping this information updated and informative is what I am attempting to do.

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

   When I first began editing, I made the mistake of correcting an articles English usage, unaware that we had a guideline that explained the use of both British English and American English. Two editors jumped on this and immediately made comments on my talk page berating me for this change. I responded by asking if they could further explain what my error was. One chose to explain while the other seemed only interested in WP:BITE on the issue. You can see the conversation in my talkpage archives for August 2008 ^Archive. I used this and other incidents to become familiar with WP:MOS, WP:CIVIL, WP:NPOV and have tried ever since to make sure I'm aware of guidelines and policies, before even attempting to be BOLD. Lesson learned I believe. I think from my interactions since, I have presented myself appropriately.
