  • For only being here for 5 months, you've done very good job of getting involved in many different areas of Wikipedia. You've done a great job on Al-Afdal ibn Salah ad-Din and I enjoyed reading it. Also, good job with organizing the Manchester United task force. As I see you have taken an interest in anti-vandalism work and new page patrolling, you may want to look over Wikipedia:Vandalism, Wikipedia:WikiProject New page, and Wikipedia:New pages patrol for tips on how to correctly perform these tasks and mistakes to avoid. Both of these areas, especially new page patrol, can be tricky and you will definitely want to take things slowly until you get the hang of it. Also, if you plan on doing a lot of new page patrolling, you should look over the Criteria for speedy-deletion (CSD) and the directions for Proposed deletion (PROD). Finally, I noticed on your userpage that you are interested in becoming an admin and I'd like to give you a few words of advice. First of all, wanting to be an admin is certainly not a bad thing, but you should always remember that adminship is not a trophy or a status-symbol, it's simply a trust, a bestowing of a few more tools to help make Wikipedia a better place. Also, admin tasks can involve a fair amount (or a large amount) of stress and/or conflict, so if you do not want that, you are probably better off not trying to become one. Again, if you want to become an admin, that is fine, but you shouldn't make that your overwhelming goal on Wikipedia because it is not such a great thing that it is worth spending hundreds of hours working toward achieving. So, great job so far and I wish you luck in your future work on Wikipedia! Thingg 05:38, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Short Comment I have not looked through much, but a thing I want to point out is edit summaries. You seem to have used them in only 50% of your edits the last months and you need to change that, if you ever want to become an admin, people like to judge by that factor. Your usage for this month looks fine so far. So#Why review me! 17:37, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • You've gotten some great advice from the two users above. Taking a very quick look at your edit history, I see that you welcome users, which is good. I also see you're doing tagging and properly notifying the authors, and most of the time the pages do indeed get deleted. The one thing I might mention is that you really ought to WP:DENY vandals recognition. As such, the big red message and hidden comment on your userpage:
<!-- HAHAHA! TRICKED, EH? DIDN'T YOU READ THE MESSAGE IN RED? IF YOU CAME TO VANDALIZE,
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. IT WILL BE REMOVED IN A MATTER OF SECONDS AND I WILL HUNT AND
BLOCK YOU MYSELF. -->
should probably be removed. As for the picture... well, I'm kind of a stickler about privacy, I'd probably get that deleted if I were you, seeing as you do appear to be somewhat youngish. You've got a typo on your userpage: Revert Vanadlism. As Thingg mentioned, you should get rid of that "want to be an admin". I'd also nix the wikistress meter... I find those kinda overly-dramatic. Hope this helps. –xeno (talk) 18:41, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
    A relatively good question. Well, I am pleased about the Al-Afdal ibn Salah ad-Din and Imad ad-Din articles. Other than that, I browse at the recent changes an monitor vandalism. I also cleanup articles, re correcting broken links and fixing typos. Besides that, I also have a good taste of newbies; I welcome them a lot. I recently created The Manchester United Task Force which PeeJay helped me a lot.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
    I have once, with Ironholds. I opposed him in his RfA and he was simply sensitive and complained it many times on my talkpage (No offence, Ironholds!) finally I regretted what I said although he withdrawn his nom. I befriended him and he designed my userpage.
