Galactor213[edit]

Galactor213 (talk · contribs) I wanted to get a good idea of what I am doing right, and what I am doing wrong, or at least not as right. At some point I wouldn't mind being an admin, however this editor review is definitely NOT in anticipation for that (I have a long ways before adminship is going to be feasable), it simply is me trying to better myself as a wikipedian for the moment. As an aside, I am also up for adoption with the adopt-a-user program, if anyone is interested. Galactor213 20:43, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

I reviewed much of your work. Here's what I found:

  1. You've done very little in the realm of article writing. I find this surprising because, based on your userpage, and the way you write on talk pages, you seem to be a good, clear writer. You also demonstrate an understanding of the content policies, such as WP:V.
  2. Your behavior on Talk:Macrophilia was acceptable if not ideal. You kept your cool, you kept the discussion focused, and you tried to calm it down instead of inflaming it. You do not need to apologize for that.
  3. A lot of other users like you. If you continue to make friends, via Wikiprojects, talk pages and other forums, your future here will be shining with stars - er, barnstars.

I wish you good luck. YechielMan 04:23, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Hmm... I think the area in which I have been given the most positive feedback for is my counter-vandalism activities. It's where I spend most of my time on wikipedia (makes up the majority of my edits, something I'm sure someone will comment on) and where I think I do the most good for the community. However, I am trying to put more effort into encyclopedia building. I have been working on cleaning up some of the song stubs, starting with some of Sheryl Crow's singles (just the first thing I came across). They're simple edits really, but something that needs to be done.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Yes, as someone here may notice, I was in an edit war recently with someone over the Macrophilia article. The remnants of which are still in the talk page. I'm not terribly proud of the way I acted in some places there, but I tried to keep the peace for the most part. It got pretty heated in some places, espeically between NeoFreak and PantheraLeo. I think that was the worst conflict I've gotten into, the only others being minor mistakes over reverting vandalism.
