ErikTheBikeMan (talk · contribs) I've been editing for awhile and since I've been created some articles lately that have been going on DYK, I'd like to know how I'm doing as a community member in general. Thanks. ErikTheBikeMan (talk) 02:36, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Erik, you are a fine editor. You edit many areas of WP and articles. You also seem to know how to handle situations which may cause conflicts, if you keep up what you are currently doing, you will continue to serve well in the community.--₮RU 03:29, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I like all the DYKs on your userpage and that you have never been blocked nor had any memorable negative interactions with me. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 20:07, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Probably the first article I ever got to DYK status, Sid Bernstein. I found it while patroling new pages and had recently looked through some of the DYK criteria, so I thought I might as well give it a try. The article was harder to write than I had expected, since I couldn't find any good online resources.ErikTheBikeMan (talk) 02:46, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
The only possible "conflict" I may have been involved in was when, during the course of my assessement work with WikiProject Norse histroy and culture, I nominated an article for deletion because I was unable to find any online sources. This drew a huge response on the AfD from the project, as well as improvement of the article to the point that I was able to withdraw my nomination. This didn't cause much stress though. I largely deal in areas that aren't very controvertial (Norse history, GA reviews), and thus may not have to deal with anything in the future aside from someone angry about a failed GA review.
