Erechtheus (talk · contribs) I have been an editor for a couple of months and am nearing 2000 edits by my count, so I thought it would be a good time to request feedback from more experienced editors. I'm a long way from considering any sort of RfA and indeed may never ask for the mop. We'll see. Erechtheus 18:48, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

  • One main area you might like to improve in would be your involvement in the Article Talk space, which you've only contributed to 89 times. Generally, that indicates that you're not making so many major contributions to the article space, and I'd suggest you try to involve yourself in doing just that; if you ever do run for the mop it'll certainly help gain some support, and it's often an enjoyable way to help out. You should also try to increase your edit summary usage as much as you possibly can - aim for ~100%, and you'll go a long way to making life a whole lot easier for everyone. Finally, you might like to involve yourself in requests for adminship, giving your opinion on current candidates - it's a very easy way to involve yourself a little more in the community, and can be quite a learning curve. You're doing well, though, and I certainly can't see anything you've done wrong - good work! :) Daveydweeb (chat/patch) 09:33, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I was excited about the creation of Kashmere Stage Band and related articles because I got to see a little cluster of articles start from nothing and collaborated with other users to fill in a gap in the encyclopedia with something I find really interesting. Other than that, I haven't really done much in the way of building up any single article. I prefer patrolling in various ways (random page, recent edit, new page), and I like the various deletion criteria. I am trying to master the use of the three provisions for deletion of pages.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I have been in a few scrapes involving deletion, but they really haven't been anything serious. I don't really feel much in the way of stress about any of that, though.
