DietLimeCola (talk · contribs) I just want to be the best editor I can be. I've gotten yelled and harassed at on a few of my edits and I want to prevent people getting mad in the future. Thank you DietLimeCola 19:50, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

  • Hey Diet! I just read through the talk archive in Ed, Edd n Eddy, and here are couple things I have to say.
  • Always stay calm! If you consistently remain cool, it is unlikely that you will get harrassed. Don't try to convince someone that obviously won't be convinced of anything; state out the fact clearly, and focus more on constructive editing to display your point. I think you have learned all these though! The issues in Ed, Edd n Eddy is seemingly solved.
  • You make usage of edit summary occationally, and many of the edits I looked through are fine. So I think the IP user is just being nonsense. You could prevent arguments in the future by editing slower, focus on the quality. Don't get stressed over minor things, proof-read your writing etc.

Hi,

First off, I like your user name a lot. That's pretty much why I started reviewing you. My best advice is to remember that a good editor has a willingness to learn, and doesn't just write or edit articles he/she knows something about. You can contribute on other articles besides just this one and the the stuff you know about.
All you need is a desire to learn new things. You can do your own research by using google or another search engine on any topic you can imagine. Or, you can improve existing articles and learn something new in the process. A lot of frustration can come when your focus is narrowed down to only a few articles.
Also, consider joining a Wikiproject. There is a Wikiproject for everything under the sun. By joining one of these, you get a whole list of new things to do and new people to meet. That should help with perhaps some frustration you're having with this other user.
I also have a couple of essays on my user page that might help you. Just click on my name and wander around. Sincerely, NinaOdell | Talk 21:20, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
    Not really.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Of course! I'm always at war with an unregistered person at List of characters in Ed, Edd n Eddy. Everytime I make an edit theres something wrong with it, and I want to figure out exactly whats wrong (because hes not telling me).
