Corvus coronoides[edit]

Corvus coronoides (talk · contribs) I just wanted to get some feedback on how I'm doing. I've been editing Wikipedia only a few months, and I'd like some pointers regarding where to go/what to do next, as well as figure out how I'm doing. You're doing well. The issue with declining Apache for Good Article status was not really a conflict in the strict sense of the word. Apparently you made a mistake by not calling for properly formatted inline citations (which are still needed, by the way), and you corrected the mistake. Everyone is entitled to make mistakes. Your approach in the talk page discussion was perfectly appropriate, and sets a good example for other people to follow.

I find it hard to believe that you enjoy reverting vandalism. I wish there were no need to revert vandalism, and I do revert it only because I wish to share in the massive load that many other people bear. But if you do enjoy it, you can take a more systematic approach by monitoring Recent changes (link on the left sidebar) and joining the counter vandalism unit. I wish you good luck. Thank you for the review. I didn't mean that I technically "enjoy" reverting vandalism, as in it's something I do for fun, but when I see it, I take particular pleasure in returning the page to it's former state of un-vandalised-ness. (Yes, I do realize that that's not a word)Cheers, Corvus coronoides talk 14:24, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I'm not particularly pleased with any particular contribution, although I am rather proud of Wood Thrush, which I was able to greatly expand. I also particularly enjoy reverting vandalism, although I mostly only do this when I happen to catch it on my watchlist.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
There was one conflict that I remember, but it wasn't too much of an issue. It was over a comment I made regarding the hold I placed on Apache for GA. Since I'm still relatively new, when a user contradicted my original comment, I did not go straight back to the criteria at WP:WIAGA and check, but thought about it on my own and eventually turned over and passed the article. However, when the article went up for GA Review, I regretted it. About the conflict itself, I tried to remain civil and think I succeeded (please correct me if I'm wrong) and later struck through all my comments in an effort to emphasize that we were here for the GA, not to argue over inline cites.
