- There may be a copyright violation in recent changes to Threefold repetition. The text of the rule from FIDE seems to be copied directly from FIDE website. I don't know if it is a copyright violation or not. My old paper copy of the book is copyrighted, but I don't see a copyright on the website. Also, the words have changed from my old paper copy. - This isn't an academic journal, it is a publication of FIDE, the worldwide governing organization for chess. If it is removed, I can summarize it. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 18:20, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- The same editor has done the same thing at Touch-move rule. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:40, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Bubba73: I think it is OK to have them in the articles as fair use, as long as they are quoted properly. Thus Threefold repetition is OK but Touch-move rule is not. MER-C 18:24, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
- Another editor removed it from threefold repetition. I'll work on Touch-move rule. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 18:48, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
- List of academic journals by preprint policy has copied in the text on this policy for every journal listed. I just don't see how this constitutes legitimate fair use, but I'd like a second opinion before I delete the material. Mangoe (talk) 16:48, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
