Hi. An article I've worked on a number of times in the past year or so has had a suspected copyvio tag on it since 2016. Operation Moonwatch In addition, there is a Talk page section where some serious and thoughtful editors have weighed in on what they found, and mostly, what they didn't. I'm way to inexperienced in the copyvio arena (and auto- or bot tools, etc.) to know when it might be time to remove the tag.

Would really appreciate some eyes on this from more experienced CopyVio editors, and more help in thinking if the time might be right to remove the tag. Cheers. N2e (talk) 03:48, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@MJL: thank you for checking and clarifying. I was wondering, would copying entire pages of text from public domain sources still violate WP:NOTMIRROR? I don't suspect there's an issue with the the formula/chemical property information, but quite a bit of the text at the bottom is verbatim copied. The source URL is likely a compromised web server used for spamming and SEO. I couldn't find any other instances of that plot summary. I checked a second plot summary from the same user with the same result. This is likely to be original content. MER-C 03:38, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
