- A little more subtle than the run of the mill: the copyrights violated are those on the recent English translations, by Abert's translator Spencer, of two German passages that are probably themselves in public domain, since their respective German texts each date from 1777 (or thereabouts).

- There was nothing "subtle" here, nor was this a copyright violation. The very brief quoted material (3 sentences, two of them very short) + one phrase from a different page of the book were presented as clearly marked quotations and fully attributed both to the original author and to the modern translator (Spencer). Brief, clearly marked, and fully attributed direct quotations from copyright works are permissible under fair use. I suggest that the editor who tagged this article read Wikipedia:NFCCEG. Another editor has since removed the copyright tags, and rightly so. He also moved one of the quotes to a footnote and added the original German as well. --Voceditenore (talk) 10:34, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- Note the quoted text from Mozart's letter has now been replaced with an 1866 out of copyright translation, which unsurprisingly is virtually identical to Spencer's 2007 translation. Voceditenore (talk) 12:21, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

- No copyright concern. Material PD or appropriately licensed for use. Looks like this has been dealt with (properly) by editors on the article's talk page. --Mkativerata (talk) 20:22, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

- Resilient control systems has been put up for an AFD as a copyright violation. It is not a candidate because it is a copy of a U.S. Government paper. While the AFD has been ongoing the original editor of the Wikiepedia article and allegedly one of the authors of the original Government article, has rewritten it, But I think it is still a close paraphrase and needs a US Gov Attr template or some similar words. Can someone else please have a look and leave a comment at Talk:Resilient control systems -- PBS (talk) 00:52, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
