Copyright investigations (manual article tagging)[edit]
- Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (history · last edit) from http://airs.jpl.nasa.gov/technology/how_AIRS_works/ http://www.terradaily.com/reports/New_NASA_AIRS_Data_To_Aid_Weather_And_Climate_Research_999.html http://airs.jpl.nasa.gov/data/data_product_descriptions/ http://airs.jpl.nasa.gov/overview/overview/ http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/features.cfm?feature=1424. - After looking at copyright for the image File:Aqua_NASA_satellite.jpg, I see that this may be a false alarm. It may be that all of these are covered under the public domain-ish JPL/NASA copyright license. Most of these sources are cited, but are clearly copied almost verbatim (aka plagiarized). It seems sloppy to do so. Before removing the template tag, I'd like someone more knowledgable in copyright law to investigate. Lgstarn (talk) 06:03, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
No copyright concern. Material PD or appropriately licensed for use. Yes, NASA/JPL material is in the public domain. MER-C 09:25, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks MER-C. I added proper attribution information as per WP:PLAG. Lgstarn (talk) 17:43, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

- Last two revisions from Fonglee26 (talk) are copied from the IFMBE website:
- Initial section and IFMBE PUBLICATIONS section are a copy from the home page at http://www.ifmbe.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=60&Itemid=160
- Section WORLD CONGRESS ON MEDICAL PHYSICS AND BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING is a copy from the page Events > World Congress at http://www.ifmbe.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=108&Itemid=201
- I reverted back to last revision without copyvio problems -- SchreyP (messages) 21:21, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
OTRS Ticket received, article now licensed and compatible with CC-BY-SA. --NortyNort (Holla) 02:18, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- Manaviat-Owlia Syndrome (history · last edit) from Unknown location. Use of the term "we" indicates it was copied from a medical journal in which it was first posted. The Mark of the Beast (talk) 22:38, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- I can't find a source or much on this syndrome either. It definitely appears to have been copied from the preview page of a journal though. No response from editor, recommend deletion.--NortyNort (Holla) 02:24, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
