This CCI cleanup subpage has been opened because substantiated concerns of repeated copyright violations from the listed contributor requires systematic review of contributions. Listings are not intended to imply a presumption of bad faith on the part of any contributor, as Wikipedia's copyrights policy differs from international copyright policies and many inadvertently violate through misunderstandings.

If contributors have been shown to have a history of extensive copyright violation, it may be assumed without further evidence that all of their major contributions are copyright violations, and they may be removed indiscriminately in accordance with Wikipedia:Copyright violations. Contributors who are the subject of a contributor copyright investigation are among contributors who have been shown to have a history of extensive copyright violation and so all of the below listed contributions may be removed indiscriminately. However, to avoid collateral damage, efforts should be made when possible to verify infringement before removal.

This may be a bit of an unusual case, for two reasons. Firstly, there already has been an investigation about this user, resulting in a block for "massive copyright violations", and the implementation of a WikiProject to deal with the damage. The second may be the age of the problem: The possible copyright violations date from March 2006 to March 2009.
I originally noticed copyright problems with one specific edit (from 3 July 2006) to one article (Jack Churchill), which I detailed on the article talk page yesterday (see here). The resulting RD for that article has now resulted in the deletion of 1251 revisions, spanning 18 years. It was only today that I looked into the editor's past, and found out about their prior history of copyvios. To my surprise, I learned that the Jack Churchill article was identified as problematic in April 2009,[1] but was never dealt with.
The problem, and the reason why I came here, is that some of the other articles identified in 2009 don't seem to have ever been looked at either. This old list gives an overview over the potentially problematic articles that had been identified as of June 2009, but had not yet been attended to when work on GrahamBould's edits stopped. Jack Churchill is number 17 of 103 on that list.

The last time this user was discussed at WP:AN was in March 2009: [2] I think people just gave up on the task back then, as checking the many thousands of articles created and expanded by this user (many of which had copyright issues, but some didn't) was just too much. Fish anatomy (3 edits): Y This is one of the articles not addressed in 2009. All three edits are blatant copy-vios, mostly from [4], as found by Earwig. Because much of it remains part of the article to this day, and the copy-vio affects multiple sections of the article, I have blanked it as a precaution. This may turn out to be one of the largest articles affected by this CCI. The suspected copy-vio found by Earwig may be a false positive, as Earwig is also triggered by earlier versions of the article.[6] I cannot say whether that's because animalcorner.org, who claim all rights to the material and copyright 2005-2024, uses material from Wikipedia without attribution. The earliest archived version dates to 2020,[7] but the similarities to old versions of the Wikipedia article suggest to me that it was created around 2006. I cannot find a matching source for the material added in Special:Diff/52982214, Special:Diff/62520458 and Special:Diff/63448566, so its removal is presumptive.
