Not sure about this one. Both sources seem to have now disappeared. Here's a better source from Billboard. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:10, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Now used this. KJP1 (talk) 07:55, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Martinevans123 - Martin, you don't happen to have Source 3 to hand? It would be good to check against the original and I can't see it online. KJP1 (talk) 13:52, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry KJP1, I don't. I had a clear out of magazines last year and, as it was over 10 years old, that one went for recycling. It might be worth contacting NDCS to see if they have back copies of Connect available. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:42, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There's weirdly little coverage of him online. I've therefore cut it, to be on the safe side. KJP1 (talk) 06:17, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of Desert Island Discs choices? Martinevans123 (talk) 20:58, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Still searching for that copy of Gibson (1977) again (used mainly for the architectural details), which does not seem to be available online. But the other three sources are freely available and might be useful for a re-write. If one is needed. I see there's a copy on ebay for £4.48 (free 3-day postage)! Martinevans123 (talk) 10:11, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, that was easily trimmed/tweaked from the HE source. KJP1 (talk) 10:37, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Les Kellett (2 edits): Green tickY - tweaked/trimmed/incorporated, updated the cites. KJP1 (talk) 11:29, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Martinevans123 - bit at a loss on this one. There's really only one source, the second is barely more than his name, although it seems to contradict what is said. The single source doesn't support much of the content, e.g. where's the "50 head of cattle". Earwig is showing high matches, but I think they're copied from here. Basically, I think I should blitz it back to what is supported by the only source. But that won't leave much. Any ideas? KJP1 (talk) 07:38, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • The cows are plainly there in Telegraph& Argus? I get an Earwig score of 3.8%. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:27, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies - I thought those bottom three were external links, not references, as they aren't actually cited in the body. I'll take another look. KJP1 (talk) 09:41, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
p.s. Earwig's showing 90.4% for me, to Flickr and a 2020 newspaper article, [1]. KJP1 (talk) 09:48, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I did an Earwig just on the first diff. You've done it on the current article? That Warrington Worldwide article is dated 11 April 2020. I added stuff from the Telegraph& Argus obit on 17 March 2011. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:35, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Vivien Gribble (1 edit): ? - I did a heavy presumptive trim. I actually think it likely the holiday company did copy from here, but I also think it likely there was an source for what we had. How close the content was to that source, I can't say, hence the trim. KJP1 (talk) 06:06, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Earwig; first archived version of site is after Wikipedia edit, but it seems unlikely we had this uncited content first. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 08:45, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello SandyGeorgia. Seems you found the source, thanks. Earwig says "Violation Unlikely: 20.6%". What Earwig score is acceptable? Or should we not rely or Earwig? Martinevans123 (talk) 20:56, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps the actual quote "use your buttocks to intimidate ISIS" would have been better than a paraphrase? Martinevans123 (talk) 21:21, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Niagara Falls (5 edits): ? - probably actually ok, but took the third out as it was trivial, and the source didn't work. Others are mentions/have been recast since. KJP1 (talk) 07:03, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Kenneth Patchen (24 edits): Red XN - poem block quote (still there)/poem block quote (gone)/mention/mention/quote/mention/mention/quote/mentions x 4/more mentions, mainly list of works. KJP1 (talk) 07:13, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Meredith Belbin Green tickY cleaned, too much to revdel. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 05:12, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Margaret John (11 edits): Red XN - basically a list of "things John was in". I trimmed some of the extraneous detail, Tom Jones' penis etc. KJP1 (talk) 07:25, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Stonehaven derailment (4 edits): Green tickY - first was a lift, so re-wrote/quote/mention/mention were ok. KJP1 (talk) 07:45, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Fred Hando (7 edits): Red XN - mentions/quotes/lists of works. KJP1 (talk) 07:50, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Haigh Hall (13 edits): ? - hard to say. Some's gone/some's been re-edited/some is sourced offline/the online source for the lighting was close. Did a presumptive tweak/trim. KJP1 (talk) 08:08, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Martinevans123, Anna Roy - I need help again. It's the first edit that is of concern. The phrasing suggests it may be problematic, e.g., "deeply in debt and desperate for money" / "did not cancel or curtail his programme ? "a punishing schedule" / "worsening illness". To me, they sound like lifts. I forget from Plath/Thomas, did anyone have "Fatal Neglect"? KJP1 (talk) 06:40, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think we established that I have a copy, but you and Anna don't, and it's not previewable online. The period concerned is covered between pages 58 and 67, so I have corrected that. I am unable to find any of the phrases you have highlighted, so I have to conclude I created them. It's more likely that I wouldn't go to the trouble of copying text if wasn't available to copy online. I could always send you a copy of those pages to check. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:43, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Martinevans123 - No need. You've checked it, and I'm fine to AGF. On this occasion, I failed to recognise your own mellifluent prose, for which apologies! KJP1 (talk) 12:06, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Have now re-drafted. Thanks to User:Jimfbleak for the advice. My re-draft doesn't adequately cover the "science" behind the lack of waterproofing; for that we need a new source; but it does address the CCI concern. KJP1 (talk) 11:59, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Martinevans123 - ME, do you have the Stonesifer biography? The 2nd-5th edits were fine. The one I've left has all the Shaw detail, cited to Stonesifer (no page). I don't have it and can't view. If you have/can, would you have a re-read to check it's ok. Otherwise, I could always trim. KJP1 (talk) 10:20, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yes, I still have it. I was making a start on adding page numbers from Stonesifer. But then my entire "tenure" at Wikipedia seems to have been "making a start on" something.... I'll have a look, thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:28, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've added the pages, 79-80. I can confirm that the current text is a summary of those pages. If you'd like to double check the archive link is this (- you might have to register to be able to see it?) Alternatively, I could easily send you photos of those two pages. • Frankie Howerd (9 edits): Green tickY - over-reliance on York Trust for first two, so tweaked/trimmed. Rest OK. KJP1 (talk) 05:46, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Danny John-Jules (2 edits): Green tickY - first was an attributed cut'n'paste from his partner's article. Second was a bit close so tweaked. Also amended the wording - rather like the CBE, a conviction doesn't depend on one's acceptance, or rejection, of it. KJP1 (talk) 09:40, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Jimmy Heath (6 edits): ? - a bit tricky. The others are fine (mentions/cites) but the first is cited to a source that take me to Bluenote but not to JH. And it has no Search facility. That said, it is broadly a list of personnel. Trimmed it to almost nothing but that, presumptively. KJP1 (talk) 16:41, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Marcel Berlins (11 edits): ? - again, difficult as the main source is the paywalled Times. Most is mentions/cites/books, but I've presumptively tweaked, trimmed the parts sourced to the Times. KJP1 (talk) 16:58, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Martinevans123 - Morning Martin, on we go! I'm not quite sure how to address these. They are both pages you started. The first one does draw on the single source, but I'm not sure how one could re-write it. It's basically an explanation of its origin, together with some early examples. You've then added Wiki entries which have the name. I could trim the explanation a bit? The second, obscure even by your standards, only has two cites. As far as I can see, the first supports the AllMusic rating, the 2nd, the CD re-release. (I have trimmed this as it was a bit close to source.) But there's nothing that seems to support either the Lead or the Background? Where did they come from? Your head? Late night viewing on YouTube? Were you in the audience for the UK promotional tour? Just not sure how I'd presumptively trim this? Thoughts. KJP1 (talk) 09:09, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, no idea how one would rewrite Verey. Perhaps the other two contributors, Jamesmcardle and Wire723, might have some ideas. As for Banco, yes that was 17 years ago, so not easy to remember. I suspect I wrote it after looking at all the Italian blog and fanzine sources (there is an Italian article for this album) and assumed that those sources wouldn't be good enough. But that one has had quite a lot of contributors since, so a Talk page discussion might be an idea. The CD might have some information on it, I'll try and find it. Sadly no, I've never managed to see them live. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:23, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Janette Mason (2 edits): Green tickY - the first was a, barely tweaked, lift from her own website. I just removed it. She's unlikely to sue, but that's not the point! KJP1 (talk) 08:50, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ever Given (7 edits): Red XN - quote/cut'n'paste/quote/cite/mentions x 2, which have already been updated/a See also. KJP1 (talk) 08:26, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Charles Avison (1 edit): Red XN - ReFill. KJP1 (talk) 07:48, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Space Shuttle Columbia disaster (1 edit): Red XN - already re-done, as part of FAC, I'd guess. KJP1 (talk) 08:05, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Blaenau Ffestiniog (1 edit): Red XN - mention. KJP1 (talk) 08:06, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Brent Pelham (1 edit): Red XN - could have left it, but tweaked anyway. KJP1 (talk) 08:02, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Bradfield Combust (4 edits): Red XN - all mentions. I'm not sure what "is designated a National Monument" means, but it's not ME's. KJP1 (talk) 08:38, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Billy Preston (12 edits): Red XN - long quote, in a cite! ME's edit summary did say it should be a footnote 14 years ago, but they've not got around to it/funeral mentions, but I did lose the "clad in bright red" as an unnecessary detail/IP reversion/mention/more funeral mentions/correction/album/musicial types/reversion, with quote/footnote/IP reversion. KJP1 (talk) 08:56, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speech synthesis (1 edit): Red XN - already tweaked and I think it's an acceptable summary. KJP1 (talk) 07:53, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Farindola (1 edit): ? - can't make source work but presumptively trimmed. Is "luxury resort/hotel" an infallible guide to cv? KJP1 (talk) 09:25, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Trellech (6 edits): Red XN - don't think it's CV but did some tidying. KJP1 (talk) 17:32, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Viola Beach (6 edits): Red XN - crash much re-written since. I find it slightly odd that it concludes with a single Swedish source saying the manager acted intentionally. Was there never a British inquest? Anyways, not cv, and the rest is mentions. KJP1 (talk) 17:42, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Enid Blyton (3 edits): Green tickY - first a bit close to source, so tweaked/the rest cite tidying. KJP1 (talk) 11:20, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lion Air Flight 610 (16 edits): Red XN - gone/IP reversion/already rewritten/ReFill/mention + cite/gone/paraphrase/already re-done/first bit is a copy-edit, thank god coz the source is in Indonesian, the second is an acceptable paraphrase/mention/Trump quote (again!) which has again gone/mentions.
