- Hey, its okay. No need to change your username. Looks like you just have a little confusion regarding signing signitures. Everybody has one. Just click on "my preferences" and there it is. You can edit your signature to point to it. In my signature under Special:Preferences I have:
And that gives the signature that you see. when I type 4 ~'s , it gives me this: MegamanZero|Talk 15:10, 3 January 2006 (UTC) , just do that after you write comments and it'll be fine. -MegamanZero|Talk 15:10, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
ironcito
[edit]Is it possible for my username to begin with a lowercase i? The system seems to automatically capitalize usernames, but I've always used it in lowercase. Thanks! ironcito 19:28, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
- No, the software does always capitalize usernames; you seem already to have discovered how to modify your signature, but beyond that I'm afraid it must be capitalized. — Dan | talk 05:30, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
René Gass
[edit]Please change my name from "René Gass" to "René Gaß" in the German Wikipedia (dewiki_p). I somehow managed to get the spelling of my last name wrong and as it's my real name, I'd rather not create a second acount. Thank you!
- Sorry; we can't make changes in de.wikipedia.org. We're only for en. Linuxbeak (drop me a line) 19:11, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, I didn't know that, I'll ask here then. Thanks again.
Hellfire83
[edit]I was wandering if is possible to merge Hellfire007 with my current account of Hellfire83, keeping the current account as the active one? I managed to loose my password for the Hellfire007 and so I opened another account, but I found that there were quite a few contributions on the old account. Thanks Hellfire83 14:54, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- We can't merge accounts I'm afraid. If you provided your email address you should be able to get your password back. (see Help:Logging_in). We can rename Hellfire83 to Hellfire007 but this would involve renaming Hellfire007 to something else first. (We'd also need to see that Hellfire007 was you and that might be difficult if you no longer have the password). Secretlondon 18:14, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- I thought that might be the case, unfortunately I didn't provide a email for the Hellfire007 account (I learnt my lesson with the second account). Thanks anyway. Hellfire83 18:40, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Kash
[edit]Please if possible, change my username to User:Kash instead of User:Khashayar_Karimi , Many thanks!
- This username already exists. Did you create it? If so, please verify by logging in under that name and leaving a note here. — Dan | talk 19:32, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- That sucks, I didnt know it was taken. Nevermind, thanks.
- Request closed. Linuxbeak (drop me a line) 16:56, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
Runnalls
[edit]Will you please abolish this user name. When making a contribution to a discussion, I made the mistake creating two user names. The other username is Mystery Man. Runnalls is my surname, which I would prefer to keep private. There is a brief biography for each of these two user names. Please delete everything to do with Runnalls. Mystery Man the username I wish to keep.
Mystery Man 16:09, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- Just don't use it. We don't delete accounts. You can remove any information you added at User:Runnalls. Secretlondon 16:31, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- I've deleted the user page at Runnalls for you. Secretlondon 16:33, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Many thanks.
Mkill
[edit]This is actually a request for Ido Wikipedia, but a sysop there User:Mithridates sent me here. The user mkill in Ido Wikipedia has made 1 edit (according to kate's tool), not quite comparable to my 3000+ in de and en each. The mkill's in 40 other Wikipedia are my accounts, too. I'd like to have the account in Ido WP because I do a lot of interwiki linking and it would be nice to have one username which is the same in every wikipedia. Ido WP sysop Mithridates said he would support my claim. --Mkill 23:55, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
Muchosucko
[edit]Please change my name to User:Quartermaster. I think User:El_C has been stalking my User:Muchosucko account. Therefore, Please, somehow, try to hide the fact that this name change has occured. Thank you kindly.--Muchosucko 18:19, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
- On second thought the much better solution to prevent User:El_C from stalking me is to create a brand new account User:Quartermaster but to transfer my Watchlist from User:Muchosucko to the new account. I only really just want to keep my old watchlist and I don't know how to transfer it to my User:Quartermaster account. The ultimate solution would be to have you all teach me how to do that by myself, in privacy, to prevent User:El_C from following me to User:Quartermaster. Thank you.
- Sorry, User:Quartermaster is taken - please register it to User:pillowtalk. Thanks --Pillowtalk 03:01, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- All username changes are available in the logs. Secretlondon 16:29, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
- I also think that you're a controversial user and therefore that this rename wouldn't be in the interests of the project. You are being "stalked" because your contributions have been seen as disruptive. Allowing you to pretend to be an entirely new user is not in our interests. Secretlondon 06:35, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- Do not make accusations without proof. Give me the diffs on how I have been controvertial and disruptive. RE:Allowing you to pretend to be an entirely new user -- I'm afraid you have not read my request closely - I can pretend to be an entirely new user right now. Thank you kindly --Muchosucko 23:25, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Please, I know you can't delete the accounts, but I wish to no longer be here please delete my account. I would appreciate it^_^
Cykitty
- What would you actually like us to do? We can't delete accounts as you say. Secretlondon 15:43, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
You could always ban the username or change the password? (if you can do that)--Andeee 14:24, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
Could you please change my username to User:Hunterfox. I want to rename myself so that my identity is not so visible to others, especially anons. --Terence Ong 04:33, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
- Never mind. Sorry :( --Terence Ong 14:30, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
[[User: ]]
[edit]Can you please change my username to ok Thanks. [\]] 23:46, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- Since this was your only edit, it is much easier just to make a new account. Garion96 (talk) 23:58, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
ok
I would like my user name to be The thing so I can remember it easier. User:Bradmer10/sig 23:35, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
- According to the Kate's editcount, that name seems already taken. It looks like a dormant account with no contributions to it. Garion96 (talk) 00:35, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
I would like to change my username to 'Struan' to match my wikimedia account. Thank you. Pinkyogamuffin 19:49, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
- According to the editcount, that username seems already taken. Although there are no contributions to it. Garion96 (talk) 01:38, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

- Hi- can you sign in as robertcmorgan? We can't do anything unless you do. Thanks Secretlondon 06:31, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Tryphon_T → Pardon,_un_peu_plus_à_l'ouest_!
[edit]- Current name: Tryphon_T (talk • contribs)
- Requested name: Pardon,_un_peu_plus_à_l'ouest_! (change username)
- Reason: My username was recently changed on French Wikipédia, because another user has chosen a the username Tournesol Tryphon. I think it's more simple to change everywhere for me. Thanks. -- Tryphon T. 19:00, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- Not done. There is no User:Tryphon T. It is very important to check your spelling and capitalisation when requesting a username change. Warofdreams talk 02:30, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
