- Nominator's rationale: Only contains 2 redirects, both back to artist page. Serves no purpose as a category. Richhoncho (talk) 12:23, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: dual merge. bibliomaniac15 05:32, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: This is pure WP:OVERCAT and not needed. Previous categories of this nature have been deleted, such as Category:French expatriate footballers in England. GiantSnowman 11:33, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in WikiProject Football's list of association football-related page discussions. GiantSnowman 11:35, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Upmerge as nom. There is a long history of CFDs lending to avoid triple intersection categories for expatriate sportspeople. Per WP:OCAT (and especially WP:OCEGRS), it is unlikely that the specific contributions of Nigerian expatriates to Indian football be the subject of much academic work. Place Clichy (talk) 15:28, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose single merge. @GiantSnowman: If merged, this should be a dual merge to both Category:Nigerian expatriate sportspeople in India and Category:Expatriate footballers in India. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 19:38, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- Dual merge per BrownHairedGirl. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:06, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, that makes more sense, although the cat I am nominating is currently a subvert of the one I am proposing the merge to. The other one is a separate tree. GiantSnowman 20:37, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
- I support dual merge as well. Place Clichy (talk) 07:01, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Category:Drug templates

- The result of the discussion was: keep. bibliomaniac15 05:31, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Propose renaming Category:Drug templates to Category:Substance use templates
- Nominator's rationale: Because of the title 'drugs', this template has an unclear and overly broad scope. It includes templates related to substances / recreational substances (alcohol, cannabis, nicotine, hallucinogens etc.) but also templates that relate specifically to medications (eg nitrogen mustarts, pheremones, monoclonal antibodies etc.). There is an WP:ENGVAR issue relating to the use of 'drugs' and medications' which is also going to confuse editors. 'Drugs' meaning recreational results in these being included, and 'Drugs' meaning pharmacological drugs means lots of medication templates are included.
I propose this category is renamed to Category:Substance use templates. I think that is a clear title reflecting the intended function of this category. I think this my proposed title is clearer than "Recreational substances" (this is poorly defined), "Hallucinogens" (only covers a subset), and the current title.
Ping to these editors who contributed to the last discussion (discussion here: BrownHairedGirl, Marcocapelle, Inter&anthro)- my take is that there was general consensus that the current title was not helpful, but that a proposed title wasn't found. I'd like to hear thoughts about this suggestion and also any alternate titles that might better define the category's scope. Tom (LT) (talk) 11:21, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Procedural oppose. The name of Category:Drug templates is no more or less confusing than the name of Category:Drugs. As there is currently no discussion about the latter, there is no need to change Category:Drug templates either. Marcocapelle (talk) 12:51, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- + As in the previous discussion, I suppose there is room for creating Category:Psychoactive drug templates as a subcategory of Category:Psychoactive drugs. Marcocapelle (talk) 15:19, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- I have actually created the latter now. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:11, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. Procedurally, per Marcocapelle ... but also substantively. "Substance use" is a highly vague term, whose literal meaning encompasses vast swathe of human activity. --15:46, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Keep -- I thought this was going to be about substance abuse, but it seems to cover both legal and illegal classes of drugs. I see no reason to change. Indeed sugar and flour are substances, but I do not think we would want we would want them in this. There may be a very slight ENGVAR issue, but nothing to cause a problem. - The result of the discussion was: rename. bibliomaniac15 05:31, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Propose renaming Category:Analysts of Kashmir conflict to Category:Writers about the Kashmir conflict
- Nominator's rationale: It was previously proposed at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2015_October_16#Category:Analysts_of_Kashmir_conflict to insert "the", but other suggestions were made including renaming to "Writers" or deletion, resulting in no consensus. "Writers" would be consistent with the parent Category:Political writers, and "the" would be consistent with siblings Category:Books about the Kashmir conflict & Category:United Nations Security Council resolutions concerning the Kashmir conflict. – Fayenatic London 07:47, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Note: the category's creator has stated that the majority of the members are political rather than military historians.[1] – Fayenatic London 08:01, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Weak support (as the creator). There is at least one person in the category (Owen Dixon) who was a mediator rather than a writer. But I would worry more about people that argue for one side or the other as being categoriesed as "writers", e.g., Akbar Khan (Pakistani general). -- Kautilya3 (talk) 09:43, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Support per nom. I have moved Owen Dixon to Category:People of the Kashmir conflict. Marcocapelle (talk) 14:16, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: rename. bibliomaniac15 05:31, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: This is the only subcategory of Category:Anti-immigration politics by country that uses this name form. "Immigration-critical" just seems like a euphemism for "anti-immigration". Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:49, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Speedy rename per WP:C2C. Marcocapelle (talk) 09:44, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not sure that C2C applies as the parent category uses "anti-immigrant politics" whereas this one uses "activism", which I haven't proposed changing. Maybe it should be changed? Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:53, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
- It was actually meant to refer to the other parent Category:Anti-immigration activism, but I was not clear about that. Marcocapelle (talk) 16:26, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
