Nominator's rationale: unless 'residential area' is something specific to India. There are a few google hits under 'Residential Neighbourhoods' related to India. Fuddle (talk) 22:44, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. See also similar nomination on July 6. Marcocapelle (talk) 02:37, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Area is used synonymously with neighbourhood in India and there is no clear cut classification for residential either. Hence its better to stick to a single category. -- Ab207 (talk) 06:12, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: merge. bibliomaniac15 22:14, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Small category (1 article and it's not about a notable building) that is unlikely to grow. User:Namiba 18:17, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree, see the related entry comment for Millcreek. Also, when did buildings on the National Register of Historic Places become "not notable"? (It seems like a push to discourage adding articles for these categories. Some of the applicable articles already exist, but have not been properly categorized yet.) An Errant Knight (talk) 18:41, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge per nom, still only one article now, but without objection to recreation of the category when it can be populated by more than a handful of articles. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:33, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Small category (1 3 articles) that is unlikely to grow. User:Namiba 17:56, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree, while there are not many entries just yet, Millcreek is the 7th largest city in Salt Lake County (greater population than Draper, Murray, Cottonwood Heights, and Midvale). All of these cities have their own category, and all will have increasing numbers of articles. (It seems like a push to discourage adding articles for these categories. Some of the applicable articles already exist, but have not been properly categorized yet.) An Errant Knight (talk) 18:40, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just added two . . . An Errant Knight (talk) 22:21, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You're right. There is potential for growth given the number of NRHP listings. I withdraw my nomination.--User:Namiba 01:34, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge. bibliomaniac15 00:02, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Small category (1 2 articles) that is unlikely to significantly grow. User:Namiba 17:54, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree, while there are not many entries just yet, Clearfield is the 2nd largest city in Davis County (greater population than Farmington). That city has its own category, and both will have increasing numbers of articles. (It seems like a push to discourage adding articles for these categories. Some of the applicable articles already exist, but have not been properly categorized yet.) An Errant Knight (talk) 18:41, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge using option A. bibliomaniac15 00:45, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Propose merging either:
Nominator's rationale: I can't see any difference of scope between the two categories, so merge one way or the other. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 14:39, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. bibliomaniac15 23:56, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: per WP:SMALLCAT. Contains only 2 pages: the eponymous Celle State Stud and the horse Wolkentanz. Both are adequately categorised already, so no need to merge. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 14:23, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: rename. bibliomaniac15 23:57, 4 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: The articles aren't lists. Looking for a pattern, there is Category:Education Board in Bangladesh (which should also be renamed?) Fuddle (talk) 14:01, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Edit: I lowercased 'Boards', unless there's something significant about that word. Fuddle (talk) 14:03, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. bibliomaniac15 00:46, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: per WP:SMALLCAT. Contains only the eponymous article Charles Johnson Maynard, and one image. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:23, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Chashi[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: No consensus Timrollpickering (talk) 15:52, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: per WP:SMALLCAT. Contains only 2 pages: the eponymous article Chashi, and Yukuepira Chashi. The head article does not link to any more pages which belong in this category. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:02, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There are now the seemingly requisite 5 pages in the category, contrary to WP:SMALLCAT, which is about potential; per WP:SMALLCAT, there's plenty of potential, with over 500 chashi known, including a number of other notable examples designated as Historic Sites at a national level. The category is a useful navigation tool, also across other language wikipedias. Also it should be noted that Ainu chashi are rather different in form and function from the castles of the Wajin, so the one category of castles does not suffice. My preference is creation rather than metadeletionchat, but anyway, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 19:35, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have withdrawn my earlier vote and comment after the above contribution. Marcocapelle (talk) 20:55, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Maculosae tegmine lyncis, a category is a useful navigation tool only if it is part of an established series (e.g. the subcats of Category:Years in Japan), or if it contains a decent set of articles. There may be many more similar items known to exist; but if en.wp doesn't contains articles on them, the category serves no purpose, because it cannot be populated with articles which don't exist. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 11:12, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per recent additions to the article and category. bibliomaniac15 02:24, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: rename to `Clickteam (game engine) games` (non-admin closure) DannyS712 (talk) 03:13, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: The category contains games made using game engines developed by Clickteam, but the present category name makes it sound as though it contains the actual engines. IceWelder [] 08:58, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I created this category. I agree that it need a new name, english is not my native language. FYI, Clickteam made 3 or 4 different games engines. Dadu (talk) 17:20, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Failed assassination attempts[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was: no consensus. bibliomaniac15 22:15, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: The current name is somewhat redundant. If it was only an attempt, it was by its very nature a failed attempt. Attempts in the law are inchoate offences which by their very nature are failed. See, for comparison, a subcategory, category:Attempted assassinations of Presidents of the United States‎. No need to say "failed attempted assassinations of the POTUS." Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:18, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
