Nominator's rationale: delete per WP:OCAWARD. The St Mungo Prize is a prize awarded triennially to the person who has done most to improve and promote the city of Glasgow. The winners have been listified in the main article. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:45, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Merge childbirth tree to the maternity tree. No consensus for midwifery by country. (non-admin closure) ‑‑Trialpears (talk) 18:58, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: The maternity tree is better populated and has a slightly wider scope. Rathfelder (talk) 11:41, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: There are barely any articles in either of the "By country" subcategories for either childbirth or midwifery. Maternity has wider scope. Rathfelder (talk) 11:21, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Horror rock

The result of the discussion was: Selective merge to Category:Horror punk. (non-admin closure) ‑‑Trialpears (talk) 19:25, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: According to the article for horror punk, horror rock is just another name for it. Is there a reason why there is a category for each? StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 17:15, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
But horror rock redirects to horror punk, and I don't really find anything online that discusses "horror rock" (except a list by VH1), but there are multiple discussions and articles on what "horror punk" is, such as Rebel Circus, Rate Your Music, Ultimate Guitar and Daily Collegian. Besides merging, parsing will be necessary as well. Alice Cooper, for example, being more glam rock and shock rock as horror rock/horror punk isn't even mentioned in his article, but horror punk is mentioned in Danzig's article. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 16:37, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars: You're right, I boned that one. I should've really mentioned Danzig rather than Glenn Danzig, but of course Danzig isn't listed at Category:Horror rock. Glenn Danzig started out with the Misfits and Samhain, basically creating "horror punk" — and as such, he's correctly listed in Category:Horror punk musicians.
Anyway, my larger point is that Category:Horror rock was likely created because, despite the Horror punk article's equivocation (which was added by an IP user back in 2010), like I said "not all rock is punk". You'll notice that Category:Horror rock contains the Horror punk article, and Category:Horror punk as a subcategory, but the reverse is not true. It also contains subcats which may or may not be appropriate to list as subcats of Category:Horror punk. (Both Category:Psychobilly and Category:Deathrock are listed at Category:Punk rock genres, alongside Category:Horror punk, which seems the correct hierarchy on that front.)
I guess what I'm saying is, Category:Horror rock may be useful or not, as it stands, but merging it into Category:Horror punk doesn't seem like it would serve any purpose except to arguably pollute that category with things that may not belong there. The things that do belong in Category:Horror punk are already there, or in subcats. IMHO, one could make an easier argument for just deleting Category:Horror rock outright as non-notable / minor, and allowing the various pages and subcats within to just remain reachable via the otherwise-established hierarchy. (It's not like any of these pages are lacking in WP:OVERCAT.) But since I realize that merges tend to be easier to sell than deletions, typically, I suppose a "merge" that actually adds (almost?) none of Category:Horror rock to Category:Horror punk — which I suspect would be the outcome of said merge, once the dust settled — would be a workable compromise. -- FeRDNYC (talk) 01:32, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So merge but with cleanup needed because not all the content in horror rock belongs in horror punk. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 15:13, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: do not rename. MER-C 10:31, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: To follow the scheme of categories in Category:Teen television series. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 23:10, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
True, although that entire scheme was created only a few months ago and there is no scheme for "teenager" categories. There is, however, Category:Works about adolescence, which contains Category:Teen films and the aforementioned Category:Teen television series. Perhaps there should be Category:Films about adolescence and Category:Television series about adolescence and this one can be renamed to Category:Animated television series about adolescence. Deletion is also an option. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 23:28, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As long as they're all renamed to be consistent, anything should be fine. "_ about adolescence" sounds slightly better to me than "Teen _" because it's a bit more precise (e.g. is a "teen film" a film for a teenage audience or have teenage main characters?), and more true to the idea than "_ about teenagers" (adolescence as opposed to literally having an age between 14 and 19). — MarkH21 (talk) 23:40, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep "about" form which is less ambiguous. No preference between teens and adolescents. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:26, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep "about" form I agree with marco that it's less ambigous since the proposed title doesn't make it clear if teens are the subject matter or the audiance while the current title does. Slight preference for adolescence per Marks comment above, but both adolescence and teenagers are fine. ‑‑Trialpears (talk) 23:02, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Agrarianism is a political movement; most of the articles in the category (eg Georgism) are political in nature. I'm not sure how "agrarian politics" differs from "agrarianism". Fiamh (talk, contribs) 08:37, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Opposed CFDS. This seems to also be a set category since Category:Eyes in culture now exists and the Common category is also at Category:Eyes, there is also Category:Eye, Suffolk so Category:Eye can become a DAB just like Commons:Category:Eyes.
