Nominator's rationale: The typical organisation of these is to hold event articles at the main level, as the parent holds practically content otherwise (compared to the Olympics, for example). This also allows the event level categorisation to focus on events, and not be cluttered with needless year bi-sections. SFB 21:39, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Delete (WP:NAC). DexDor (talk) 11:59, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Formula Atlantic drivers was essentially a duplicate of Atlantic Championship drivers that only had two entries (both of which more properly belonged in the merged-to category). Theoretically they could have two separate definitions, but that would be a very tortured interpretation and if you did do that then "Formula Atlantic drivers" would consist only of amateur drivers, which is generally in violation of WP:ATHLETE. Category is currently empty. Drdisque (talk) 21:31, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, while technically delete is now the same as merger since the category is empty, I don't think that amateur Formula Atlantic drivers should be moved to the professional Atlantic Championship drivers. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:23, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Non-defining attribute. Previous similar categories have been deleted (here and here). Note that this category was previously nominated for deletion here, but that was 10 years ago, and I believe this is a case of consensus can change. Keep Useful and informative category which relates to a key aspect of a film's style and authorial intent. e.g. see discussion and coverage of The Grand Budapest Hotel#Filming. yorkshiresky (talk) 08:37, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:CATDEF. If it is not considered defining whether a film is shot on 35mm film or digital film then I don't follow the argument that somehow being shot in both would make it defining. If a film is short on a "defining" format then just add the appropriate category for that format (as is done with the The Dark Knight (film) which has a IMAX films category). I am also a bit confused by the The Grand Budapest Hotel example above; being shot in multiple aspect ratios is not the same as being shot in multiple film formats, which is stuff like 35mm film, digital film, 70mm film, IMAX, Cinerama, etc. Betty Logan (talk) 18:15, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: To make it plural and consistent with other categories like Category:Government departments of Australia. Shyamsunder (talk) 09:36, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom (PS - I fixed the redlink in your nom, Shyamsunder). Grutness...wha? 01:49, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Category trees like this should be consistent in word order. Bearcat (talk) 01:16, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 01:51, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: upmerge, unnecessary category layer, there are only two subcategories in this container category. Marcocapelle (talk) 07:31, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
