Propose renaming Category:Vital articles to Category:Wikipedia vital articles

Nominator's rationale: This category is about the Wikipedia articles, not their content, so it should have "Wikipedia" at the fromt of the name. Additionally, the rest of the tree uses "Wikipedia" in the name. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 12:35, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Object As Sligo County Council does not have a mayor, it has a Cathaoirleach, this title is not ambiguous, the move would create unnecessary precision, at the very least this need further discussion among people with Irish affairs. PatGallacher (talk) 13:09, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In the abstract, I would not be opposed to using Category:Mayors of Sligo. However, I am opposed to the category being in a different format than its immediate parents, which are Category:People from Sligo (town) and Category:Sligo (town). Category:Mayors of Moscow is formatted how it is because we have Category:Moscow and Category:People from Moscow. Comment Should we have this (and equivalent Kilkenny) category at all? Are they Executive mayors or merely chairman of the council. In England, such mayors would fail WP:POLITICIAN and the articles would be deleted unless they were notable for other reasons, which would apply to two of the 3 articles in the category now.   - The Kilkennys in Ireland are not the only consideration. There are other places int he world called "Kilkenny", some of which may have mayors: see Kilkenny (disambiguation). Propose merging Category:Railway stations serving London airports to Category:Rail transport stations in London

Merge to parent Category:Airport railway stations in the United Kingdom. I do not think the nom's proposal will do at all; as he says many are not in London, The airport serve London and the stations serve the airports. Several a dedicated to this. Others may have less strong links. However, I am not sure the nom knows enough about the subject to be able to judge. oppose although I would not oppose the upmerge proposed by Peterkingiron. UK rail station categorization tends (IMAmericanO) to get a bit fannish, but if one thinks that "stations at airports" is a viable category at all, there's something to be said for separating out the stations which serve those airports which serve London, given that they constitute something around a quarter of the larger category. Otherwise either the whole larger category needs to go anyway, or this cat should be upmerged per PKI. Mangoe (talk) 12:29, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose There are 11 articles in the category, which is also a subcategory of Category:Airport rail links in London, which the upmerge will lose. And there is no ambiguity about the airports to be included, as they will be in Category:Airports in the London region, some of which are outside Greater London.
