Yam Haus - Run-of-the-mill touring band that does not satisfy notability. An article should speak for itself, and the article does not indicate any of the musical notability criteria or the significant coverage required for general notability.

Originator submitted draft to AFC, and then created article while draft was in AFC review queue, so article cannot be moved to draft space. Naïve Google search shows not only that the band exists, and uses social media, which we knew, but that the band tours and sells tickets, but does not find significant independent secondary coverage.

An article should speak for itself, and it should not be necessary to check the references, but two of the three are interviews:

Reference Comments Independent Significant
1 Explore Minnesota Regional tourism newsletter, describes a previous gig. Not exactly, because it is advertising No. Two paragraphs.
2 Melodic Magazine, a web site An interview No, an interview N/A
3 Minnesota Monthly An interview No, an interview N/A

  • Keep given significant coverage in the following reliable, independent sources, including the Star Tribune: [1][2][3]. I think this satisfies WP:GNG and WP:MUSICBIO (criterion #1). The current article focuses too much on what Yam Haus says about themselves and not enough (or at all) about what others say about them, but there is enough out there in reliable sources to write this in a more encyclopedic manner. • Keep obviously This band is everywhere in the news. What the heck is wrong with some people Brent Severnie (talk) 19:01, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Did my due diligence and this band (which I had never heard of until today Brent Severnie - so no, they aren't "everywhere in the news" or I'd know who they are from my indie perch in California) qualifies for WP:GNG for me. If they just had regional coverage in say Minneapolis/St. Paul I would not feel that way, but, the have received significant coverage statewide in Minnesota and WP:BASIC in the Midwest.
