- Redirect to monkey_(zodiac)#Years_and_the_Five_Elements. The current content is unsatisfactory because shui gui is a type of ghost, not monkey, and so the mythological meaning is garbled. The primary topic for the phrase "water monkey" is the astrological one, in which people born in 1992 are considered to be of that sign. Andrew D. (talk) 16:00, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
- Redirect to monkey_(zodiac)#Years_and_the_Five_Elements, per Andrew Davidson. While there are plenty of sources on the Shui Gui, I am not finding anything showing that "water monkey" is a common name for the creature. However, the target identified by Andrew makes sense as a redirect for the term. Rorshacma (talk) 16:24, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
