We almost never make articles on individual departments of a university-- even a very major one like Toronto--unless there are very good third party sources, specifically about the department, not the individual people on the faculty. Delete: Not seeing sources directly associated with the subject; mostly driven by the notable alumni's success. All of the secondary sources cited help make a case of notability for the academic figures but not the Department. Notability is not inherited. I’m not sure I’m seeing the difference between this and the articles for the departments of chemistry at Oxford, Cambridge, MIT, etc, the contributions of the faculty are the contributions of the department. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.171.88.154 (talk • contribs)
