  • Comment from creator - it's historically important to the X Window System ... but third party sources will be paper, and thin on the ground in 2018 ... not sure how best to handle this - merge and redirect to X Window System#Origin_and_early_development? - David Gerard (talk) 10:08, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think that only the several sentences in the History section would be good to merge, and they would have to be sourced. wumbolo ^^^ 10:31, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I probably need to dig out the paper book I originally sourced most of the history section of X Window System from, it may mention UWM ... but that's not likely to happen this week, I'm moving house! - David Gerard (talk) 18:35, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep or merge to X Window System#Origin_and_early_development. XOR'easter (talk) 17:45, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I think this is notable as being discussed by the following WP:RS: Gottheil, Klaus; Kaufmann, Hermann-Josef; Kern, Thomas; Zhao, Rui (1992).
