This seems to be WP:SYNTHESIS. There's no indication of a rivalry in this article, merely some facts about the two cities put together in a way that's meant to appear to be a rivalry. I don't understand why the last AfD (in 2008) was kept per SNOW. This isn't a POV issue, this is a notability issue, as in there's nothing notable here. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:25, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. I can't really see the purpose of this article. It states there's a rivalry but doesn't provide sources nor say what form the rivalry takes. I agree with the identification of WP:SYNTHESIS. Asnac (talk) 18:42, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. This is more of a comparison between a few aspects of these cities than a description of inter-city rivalry. There is a notable professional hockey rivalry that is already addressed here: Maple Leafs – Canadiens rivalry, but the rest of it is WP:SYNTHESIS, and it's synthesis of information that doesn't even add up to prove that there is a notable Montreal-Toronto rivalry. - Keep there's a substantial number of reliable sources on the Montreal-Toronto rivalry. [1][2][3][4][5][6] It goes way beyond sports. 65.95.13.213 (talk) 05:19, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- It's non-notable nonsense on the level of internecine highschool rivalries. And I say this as a Torontonian. → ROUX ₪ 05:54, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- There was a lot of hoohaw about the competition between Montreal and Toronto a few years back when the MSE and TSE merged, on how once again Toronto was overshadowing Montreal, and a few years earlier, when Montreal relinquished stock trading to Toronto, and became a derivatives exchange. With the LSE taking over the TMX, there's stuff in French language press about subjugation by the British, as a result of surrendering to Toronto. 65.95.13.213 (talk) 00:13, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete pure WP:SYNTHESIS you could make a Toronto-Los Angeles rivalry article similarly. LibStar (talk) 06:37, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Definitely a noteworthy topic, but it needs to be expanded. -- Earl Andrew - talk 15:55, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - I agree that this article is overrun with OR/Synthesis problems, but I also think that a dedicated editor could find the sources to write a proper article on the subject. If deleted, I would say no prejudice should be given toward recreation. Resolute 21:15, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
