The result was keep. Snow keep. Reliable sources have been found, addressing the deletion concerns. (non-admin closure) Alpha_Quadrant (talk) 03:24, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
No references except from the book itself. No coverage whatsoever from RS. TRLIJC19 (talk) 03:32, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep There is now a link to a review in New Statesman. Most of the article's references are indeed to the book, which is appropriate, since the article discusses what the book says. Joseph Roth's notability is not in question, and WP has articles about most of his other books. Peter Chastain (talk) 04:39, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Simply add 'Roth' outside quotes to a Google Books search with the title in quotes and reliable sources showing notability will be produced in large numbers. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 04:53, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. There is substantial coverage from WP:RS sources: new translation reviews in The Observer [1], The Evening Standard [2], New Statesman [3], The New York Times [4]. These citations I've added to the article, but there are plenty more behind pay walls. Here's a link to a University of Chicago library exhibition, featuring the book in the original German. It even pops up in current, public performance, as this 11 Nov 2011 report from the Bavarian newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine shows. The article itself needs work--it is still a bit stubby and leans rather too heavily on the 2001 translator's forward--but this is work for future editing, not deletion. --Hobbes Goodyear (talk) 05:39, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep: Passes WP:BK. SL93 (talk) 15:55, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Notable book (as shown by sources) by a notable author. First Light (talk) 20:28, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - clearly a notable book. The title is an allusion to the myth of the Wandering Jew; the phrase is used online so frequently (and not just to refer to the myth but also as an allusion in other ways) that Googling the book title alone wouldn't necessarily bring up anything about the book. --NellieBly (talk) 01:12, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
