While it may not be long before this is confirmed, right now there is no significant coverage from reliable sources regarding the release of this album. The twitter sources mention working on new songs, nothing about a "singles collection". Amazon has a release date and nothing more (and even two entries with a possible album name). - Note: I just realized this was up for nomination before (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Singles Collection (Britney Spears album) (2nd nomination). Without anything new to offer in the article, is this a Speedy candidate per G4? --Wolfer68 (talk) 22:31, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, (ec) speedily per the previous AfD. Plus, WP:NALBUMS states "generally, an album should not have an independent article until its title, track listing and release date have all been publicly confirmed by the artist or their record label" - and we're well short of that here. - Keep the references are totally different this time, and this is no longer a rumour, but confirmed by people who would know. The topic certainly passes notability standard, and just scrapes by on verifiability too. I restored the earlier history so that every one can compare what was in the earlier (2nd) nomination. (We seem to be traveling backwards in time here) King of Hearts who closed the earlier discussion declined to delete[1]. See google news for 12 news articles on this. - Comment One of the google hits says: "recent rumor suggested she will drop the hits compilation tentatively titled The Singles Collection in late October." Another says, "The Singles Collection: Britney Spears, is expected to be released Oct. 27. So one states what the album might be called and the other states when it might be released. Title not officially confirmed, date not officially confirmed, no tracklist and tweets that don't even mention the album. It can wait. --Wolfer68 (talk) 04:25, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy Delete G4 - Recreation of deleted material. Now tagged as such. Esradekan Gibb "Talk" 12:32, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete: that message from Britney Spears' twitter account was thought to verify a "Forthcoming Britney Spears studio album" a week ago. No tracklist, no official title, no official release date, no article. talkingbirds 14:21, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete: This was just deleted a week ago, and no new information has surfaced. That info about Britney recording new songs could me she is working on her seventh album. Also, amazon.com's article is hardly trustworthy. The title of the album on that site has been changed three times now (meaning no official title), and it isn't even labeled as being released by Jive, which is fishy. ---Shadow (talk) 23:16, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- comment If we believe the article there is now a complete track listing with lengths as well. It is now quite different to before. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:31, 15 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- That listing doesn't even have a source, and not only that, it features Circus songs that have not been released as singles. ---Shadow (talk) 03:14, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect, this is too much of WP:crystal and is nowhere near notable enough for own page. (Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:00, 16 August 2009 (UTC))[reply]
