The result was delete. Fails both WP:GNG and WP:POLITICIAN j⚛e deckertalk 17:35, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Stephan Ohsowski (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log • AfD statistics)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Contested PROD. Individual of only passing notability. Obvious autobiography (user name and company name are the same). Fails WP:POLITICIAN. When contesting the PROD I was reminded that the references provided are official government websites: both these websites ([1] and [2]) only mention him in passing. The only other refs provided are his own company website and the list of birth records verifying only that he exists. roleplayer 21:38, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Fails WP:POLITICIAN. Extremely young to be runnning for office. Looks really old for somebody just out of nappies. scope_creep (talk) 22:53, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- This page was only created for the purpose of contributing to Wikipedia... all information on here is true and verifiable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Synrgyprod (talk • contribs) 21:53, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry but that's not enough. You also have to be notable, and this notability then has to be externally verified using independent references. Just existing is not reason enough to have a Wikipedia article. And party delegates are not inherently notable enough to pass Wikipedia's notability guidelines for politicians. -- roleplayer 22:05, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, however I have all documentation to prrove that I meet the Wikipedia Qualifications... saying someone looks to young is an opinion, not fact. Under Michigan Law, anyone 18 years of age or older can run. I have provided such documentation. You have provided nothing except your opinion which is not admissible. Please provide some facts other than "he looks to young" thats not good enough— Preceding unsigned comment added by Synrgyprod (talk • contribs) 22:08, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- If you have this documentation you need to use it, as you haven't done so yet. Just running for office is not enough, please read the links that have been left for you, pointing this out, which have now been left for you more than once. Also on Wikipedia, the onus is on you to prove that you are notable, not on us to prove that you are not. Finally please read Wikipedia's guidelines on conflicts of interest. I did leave this link for you on your talk page, but you deleted it, obviously without reading it first. -- roleplayer 22:14, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete, being the local delegate to a political party is not notable per WP:POLITICIAN, nor are there any non-local third-party reliable sources indicating notability. --Kinu t/c 22:17, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Another non-notable
candidatedelegate sorry!. Although, as the article stands he would SEEM to be notable - I quote: "Stephan Ohsowski was born on March 9, 2010", which was three months AFTER he got his job as CEO, and only about three months before he graduated ("In June of 2010"). Smart kid. A bad case of CoI in the article (here's the link again WP:COI). Peridon (talk) 22:30, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply] - Delete Non notable politician. Refs 1& 2 only mention him as a Precinct delegate or Precinct rep. —Sandahl (talk) 23:09, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per Peridon and Sandah1. GregJackP Boomer! 23:43, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per the above. Heiro 01:29, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, clearly non-notable. I was drawn here by multiple AFD tag removals, that sort of thing will never help your case. Hairhorn (talk) 02:50, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - Local official without significant coverage by independent sources. However, Synrgyprod don't let this discourage you, try and contribute to Wikipedia in other areas, ones that you don't have a conflict of interest in. Fingerz 03:18, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I'd suggest a username change as a first step... Hairhorn (talk) 11:56, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy Delete as outright spam autobiography. The creator's username matches the subject's company. Zero third-party coverage. Twitter/LinkedIn/Facebook links -- the usual. Bonus points for socking!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Rrburke (talk • contribs) 15:54, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I wouldn't go as far as saying that this is blatant spam, I can't even tell what the two companies he's involved with sell without clicking on the links, though those shouldn't be in there anyway. With that out of the way, WP:AUTO isn't a criteria for speedy deletion. Fingerz 16:50, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm not actually referring to the linkspam. In my opinion, the purpose of this article in toto is purely promotional, and it falls within the guideline WP:ARTSPAM as a "public relations piece[] designed to promote a[n] ... individual," namely Stephan Ohsowski. That it's an autobiography merely confirms the promotional purpose. Moreover, as, in my opinion at any rate, it contains no credible claim of significance or importance, there's an equally strong argument that it's speediable db-bio. -- Rrburke (talk) 18:24, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment One website linked is Synrgy Productions - who appear to be creators of websites. The other of the companies has a website that is not yet up and running - or at least wasn't when I tried it. It appears to be a company that serves legal documents. An interesting point is that despite comments about dates of birth, etc, from scope_creep and myself, the article still hasn't been corrected, despite several removals of the AfD template in the time between the comments and the blocking of the creator and an IP address.
