Comment Well, breweries tend to be of interest to beer drinkers, and Steamworks is extensively reviewed by such people (about 40 per site named) on urbanspoon.com, tripadvisor.com, ratebeer.com, dinehere.ca, yelp.co.uk (that's across the Atlantic) and so on. Obviously those reviews are ordinary people so WP doesn't trust'em, I know, but it certainly shows widespread interest. That many write-ups would be pretty hard to fake. Then there's the local detail of vancouverbeerblog.com. Yeah, it's a blog. So is thebeerauthority.com which seems to be from Chicago, not too local. The (reputable) lonelyplanet.com editorial is brief but favourable. StormBrewing.org notes that its rival Steamworks got #3 prize in 2006 and 2007 Golden Plates awards (two years running), which is approaching notable. - Keep I added the Vancouver Sun citation noted by Colonel Warden. There are enough mentions now to support notability. The article can, of couorse, use some more and better sources and bit of editing. Geoff Who, me? 20:53, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep Conrad Gmoser of Steamworks Brewing Company won Gold in BC Beer Awards 2011 for Pilsner, as reported by Vancouver Craft Beer Week. This report is on Facebook; 2011 still isn't on the BC Beer Awards website, but the result is confirmed by UrbanDiner.ca among others so I suggest this is a valid source.
