Classic list of works that mention Stanford University. Sigh. No inclusion criteria, no evidence any other reliable work has attempted to list such works and discuss them as a phenomenon. This article has the same problems as the recently deleted Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/United States Navy SEALs in popular culture, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Delta Force in popular culture Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Defense Intelligence Agency in popular culture and like. Mainly: "mostly unreferenced TVtropic listcruft." Like them, it fails numerous policies, guidelines and like: as an 'in popular culture' article, WP:IPC and MOS:POPCULT/TRIVIA, as a list, WP:NLIST and WP:SALAT, as a potential topic, WP:GNG and WP:INDISCRIMINATE, due to lack of references, WP:OR and WP:V (partially). This type of content is not encyclopedic - it's pure OR that belongs at https://tvtropes.org/ . Ping User:Regpath who just tagged it with a relevant copyediting templates. - Delete - A list of times that Stanford was "mentioned in fictional works of popular culture", which is the criteria of the list, does not pass WP:LISTN. The closest thing currently in the article that is a reliable source is the Stanford alumni magazine article, and even that just briefly mentions a handful of examples, many of which are user contributions themselves. Note that we also have List of Stanford University people#Fictional Stanford alumni, which is largely duplicative of many of the examples here. Rorshacma (talk) 14:13, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:SALAT. No proof that this is a notable topic worth listing. Also WP:NOTTVTROPES. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 16:02, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- Delete: While there might be some potential for an article here, the current one needs to be destroyed so that something else can be built. There are few reliable sources and no criteria for inclusion here. On the other side of things, the list contains a sizeable amount of original work and indiscriminate information. Nothing here is worth saving. ―Susmuffin Talk 03:28, 18 June 2022 (UTC)

- Delete - It's conceivable that there's a notable topic for this title, but a list of times someone said "I went to Stanford" in movies/tv isn't it. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 13:11, 21 June 2022 (UTC)

- Delete Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate repository of information, it is not a grab bag of trivia. TThis is WP:OR trying to WP:SYNTH random mentions into a list article by the school's fans. We don't need this type of article. Jacona (talk) 10:45, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
