I checked the sources and they don't support the claims of being a well-known author. Her LinkedIn page (https://www.linkedin.com/pub/sibley-fleming/8/723/a07) identifies her as the Editor-in-Chief for a media company that focuses on real estate. I don't think her bio meets WP:AUTHOR. • Merge to Celestine Sibley Sibley Fleming is a working journalist who has self-published children's books ans a memoir about her grandmother. Of the references on the page #2 leads to the staff section of a publication she writes for, and #3 may be similar, although I could not get the link to work. Writing for a series of business publications is just a job, no secondary sources seem to discuss the idea of her doing it with any notability.

That leaves the first source, which is to a sort of how-to-self-promote book that does, in fact, profile her and her skill at self-promotion, i.e. she paid to have pop-up art made up for children's books she writes. Her only significant book is Celestine Sibley: A Granddaughter's Reminiscence (2000), about her Grandmother, Celestine Sibley. But the book, which appears to have been self-published, seems ot have attracted no attention at all.

  • Since the grandmother was long-time columnist for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, I searched that paper for mention of the granddaughter's book. I turned up this article [1]. Access is behind a paywall, but the google search excerpt says: " A compilation of her work edited by her granddaughter, namesake and fellow writer, Sibley Fleming." So, the article is not about Flemings's "Reminiscence" but, rather, about a different book, "The Celestine Sibley Sampler: Writings & Photographs With Tributes to the Beloved Author and Journalist." (1997) A collection of the Grandmother's writings co-authored with her Grandmother. Editing a collection of her grandmother's columns, is absolutely lovely thing for a grandchild to do. But it does not confer notability. Further searches on Proquest turn up social column announcements (scanning, they appear to be wedding and who-attended-which-party announcements in the Atlanta papers - the family appears to have been well placed in Atlanta society circles.) Her co-edited volume of her grandmother's writings did get some attention:
  • Sibley Sampler leaves reader wishing for more

Heitman, Danny. Advocate [Baton Rouge, La] 22 Mar 1998: 6-mag. - a write-up or book review in a Louisiana Daily.

  • Here's pre-pub. promo for the book in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, in full, "Buzz also chatted up Sibley's granddaughter, Celestine Sibley Fleming this week. Fleming told us her memoir, "Celestine Sibley: A Granddaughter's Reminiscence" (Hill Street Press, $19.95), will hit store shelves in March. In the book's introduction, Fleming writes: "This book is about the inheritance left me by my grandmother, not about diamond tiaras or strings of pearls, but instead a look at the richness of life, the miracle of relationships and the wisdom that comes from greeting every day with an open mind and sense of humor." Eldredge, Richard L. The Atlanta Constitution [Atlanta, Ga] 10 Feb 2000: F; 2.
  • Long article about the "Sampler" of grandmother's writings book in AJC, 'It doesn't seem right that Celestine's not around to announce springtime, especially a fine one like this.': [Home Edition]

Rheta Grimsley Johnson. The Atlanta Constitution [Atlanta, Ga] 13 Apr 2000: D; 1.

  • I also found 2 brief things about her children's book in the AJC, (an author appearance, a mention) 1 in the Barton Rouge Paper, and 1 brief reference ot a guidebook about Atlanta that she wrote.

Summing up, the grandmother's career was notable. Flemings' Celestine Sibley: A Granddaughter's Reminiscence, and the co-authored "The Celestine Sibley Sampler: Writings & Photographs With Tributes to the Beloved Author and Journalist." should be added to that page.E.M.Gregory (talk) 16:57, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
