Keep, played for the national team of his country, has received considerable attention in newspapers in his country as well (e.g. here and here), and (at the moment) no deletion reason is presented (which, if not changed, makes this a speedy keep candidate). Keep Played international football, easily passes the threshold for WP:NFOOTBALL and if the article is cleaned up, sources added sure GNG would also be set.
