Sorry - this is my first nomination for deletion, so my explanation there may have been a little brief. In a nutshell, this article covers a videogame which certainly wasn't notable in its own sphere, generating only a couple of poor reviews on industry websites such as IGN.com and Gamespot.
There is very little information available on the game itself - particularly from sources I'd describe as reliable - and the article as it stands consists of minute descriptions of the game's various playable characters (against the guidelines for articles on video games), based presumably on the editors' own experiences (they certainly can't be verified). Although this could be corrected, it would involve deleting 95% of the article and I'm not sure what it could be replaced with. Letsplaydrums (talk) 16:27, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep & tag for cleanup. The nomination appears to confuse the concept of notability with fame or importance. There are certainly enough reliable sources justifying an article, including a review on gamezone, a preview on gamespot assorted with a kerkuffle on Ozzy Osbourne's initial contribution to the project which was later withdrawn, last but not least, Metacritic amalgamates a [full 17 reviews], of which several from sources fully acceptable under the Wikiproject Video Games' sources list. The article is in a horrible shape but AfD isn't the place for cleanup. MLauba (talk) 16:41, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I understand the concept of notability, but hadn't appreciated Gamespot etc would be considered reliable sources. So, thanks for pointing me in the direction of Wikiproject Video Games' sources list which pretty much knocks my main concern (notability) on the head. Is there a mechanism by which I can withdraw this nomination for deletion, or does it have to run its course now? Letsplaydrums (talk) 16:54, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
