The result was speedy keep. Wikipedia:Notability (geographic features) states: “Populated, legally recognized places are typically presumed to be notable [emphasis mine], even if their population is very low.” This is a substantial village of over 7000 people, not a tiny uninhabited blip in the middle of nowhere that happens to appear in a database.
