I would strongly urge you NOT to redirect this page. He is unique to the list of mayors of Marlborough, Massachusetts as he created one of New England's most prestigious parades and had family ties to the region for several decades. His interactions with federal officials, like Senator Henry Cabot Lodge Jr., are extremely unique and not common practice for mayors. FranDoe16 (talk) 12:08, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Keep, (possibly merge to Marlborough, Massachusetts with redirect pointing either there or as above). Reason to keep or merge is that there is a decent amount of SIGCOV on the subject's role in establishing a parade. This coverage extends to at least 2012, decades after subject's tenure, and is thus not routine coverage a mayor's job. I would urge Wikipedia to keep this article. At the time of his tenure, Marlborough was considered one of the largest municipalities between Boston, Massachusetts and Worcester, Massachusetts. His role in organizing the Marlborough Labor Day Parade makes him a unique officeholder, as the parade is one of New England's largest and most prestigious parades to this day. Keep. Mayor Gadbois created one of New England's most prestigious parades. Politicians have frequented the parade; including, Elizabeth Warren, Ted Kennedy, Henry Cabot Lodge Jr., and many more. Redirect to List of mayors of Marlborough, Massachusetts The main argument for keeping seems to be that he started a parade during his term as mayor. I don't see how that is particularly notable based on our guidelines for notability. The sources given seem to give more credit to a different person.
