There was an AfD about The West Wing characters nearly 11 years ago, but because a lot of characters survived the AfD, they were all marked as Keep at the time. However, some of these characters did deserve to be deleted or redirected to List of The West Wing characters. I'm nominating a few of them here for failing WP:GNG, and hoping to not fall into the same pit.

I am also, with fingers crossed that this does not become a trainwreck, nominating:

Redirect to List of The West Wing characters. I participated in that earlier AfD discussion, and the primary article suggested for deletion at the time (Mandy Hampton) ended up being improved per WP:HEY with reliable secondary sources and real-world content and themes beyond just a fictional biography. I imagine each if not all three of the articles in this AfD (though I'm less sure about Ritchie than the other two) could be similarly improved if a Wikipedian put in the effort to do so. In the meantime, the articles themselves are mostly in-universe fancruft and clearly need to be worked on, but those are arguments for improving the articles, not deleting them (per WP:RUBBISH and WP:NEGLECT). So for now I'd suggest the redirect, a solution which strikes me as the best of both worlds and will preserve the edit history in case anyone ever wants to take a go and improving them in the future. Besides which, these character names are searchable terms, so a redirect to the list makes sense anyway... — Hunter Kahn 14:19, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
